  1. If any of you CM:BS fans out there are a bit bored with the run of the mill, this is for you.....Just wow again (possibly even more so), and I'm not even close to clicking the red button yet!
  2. A proper look at the M60T.....Not perhaps quite as 'Sabra' as we were led to believe: All stolen from SH as usual.
  3. Heads up.....We're going in. Initial impressions.....Wow! @MOS:96B2P I did a dumb thing.....Easily fixed but dumb nevertheless! PM inbound.
  4. Sure.....It was your description of its role and the numbers made that confused me, they better match the Panzerfahre setup.
  5. From that era I kind of like the Japanese Type-74:
  6. Link's broken for me in the UK. PS - Quite what the relevance to CM is I'm unsure.....Do you actually play CM at all JK?
  7. I like the Panzer II Ausf L 'Luchs' a lot.....This is probably not the best way to treat the only running example on the planet:
  8. I think you may be confusing the LWS, which was basically a sort of tugboat on tracks (Built on a custom chassis using some Pz.II bits, total production was not less than seven examples and may have been as high as twenty-one, in several versions) with the Panzer IV based Gepanzerter Landwasserschlepper II and Panzerfahre combination which better matches your description (it was essentially an armoured ferry, only two were built): LWS Early: Note early Pz.II Idler. LWS Late: Note later Pz.IV style sprocket. Other variants had different arrangements of the windows etc. Gepanzerter Landwasserschlepper II and Panzerfahre combination: Note full Pz.IV running gear.....I believe they used the whole chassis. The Matilda Mk.III CS could fire HE & Smoke from its 76mm gun: Leave it to mature for a while, in the presence of Australians, and it can even do this: Matilda Frog (I believe most were actually converted from 2pdr armed tanks TBH).
  9. Turns out there is indeed a Khorramshahr tank.....The T-72 Khorramshahr: Apparently the welded turret is Ukrainian handiwork and it has Kontakt-5 ERA (as you can see). FWIW PS - If you stuck a turret-bustle and some side-skirts (plus some sheet metal) onto that thing, then painted it black.....
  10. I think the way it worked was that the commander of a T-34 with binoculars (& a radio) would watch the T-70s from a safe distance.....When the first one explodes, the recon is deemed accomplished and the attack may proceed!
  11. Appreciate your efforts here fella, I'd like to know the answers to pretty much exactly the same questions.
  12. I believe they did.....Your point about radios is very valid, but not something that really shows up in the current CM:RT game, it's more a thing for the earlier years (not by much though).
  13. Seem to have drifted away from tanks a wee bit here. Sorry, couldn't resist! On Paper, this (related) pair seem like candidates to me: South Korean K2 MBT Turkish Altay MBT
  14. Worth playing to their strengths if you can point them at the BMPs.....They'll do a much better job on them than infantry in buildings. Point Target attack runs are swift(ish) and usually brutally efficient with NATO choppers.
  15. I love SPAAGnicals, but they run out of ammo too damned fast. But this reminds me that there are Super-SPAAGnicals in CM:A: Off to check out their ammo supply! EDIT - '>1000rnds' Oh boy!
  16. I'd be interested to take a look at the map, maybe muck about with it in the AI editor.
  17. Everything I have is here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/2j49fa7k60k20yj/AACYNYwwijBqMgdH95eio7oba?dl=0
  18. I'm trying to model reasonably well equipped (but very poorly organised) UnCons so I mostly want to use Ukrainian 'Specialist Teams' because they don't get NVG as a rule.....Obviously I need a 'Formation' to attach them to and a Supply Platoon is as good a bet as any, as they don't bring anything to the table on the NVG front either IIRC. I believe that I can also dismount them to create supply dumps which the AI can't use directly, but which I believe it can use by proximity. I quite often use forward observer 'Formations' for the same job when I'm less worried about the NVG. There may (or may not) be other types of formation out there.....But on that I can't comment right now. I'll blat some of the Russian Core for scenario #2 onto my favourite map (pretty sure you'll recognise it, I've done nothing but remove all the labels and change the church into a minaret) and stick some screenies in the CM:BS thread.
  19. Might the background against which the tanks are being observed be a factor.....Not familiar with the scenario in question.
  20. I think I may have received them all via your good self, one way or the other.....I doubt I can make that much space available in my DB account though. Actually, yes I can, they're only Megs, not Gigs! PS - I have 570Mb worth, they're uploading as I type.
