  1. Just did.....I am. TBH I like StuGs quite a lot.....They did most of the real grunt work, but the panzers get all the credit. PS - I suppose they might just be part of a medium panzer platoon (as replacements), so then there could be five.
  2. I think StuG batteries are organised in threes rather than fives.
  3. I don't disagree with anything you say.....However I think it is also true to say that the presence of US troops and the continuing state of 'armistice' are both things that should have long ago been resolved, for the benefit of all parties involved (maybe excepting Raytheon et al).
  4. Touché! Perhaps they just had no clue how to counter them.....Certainly looked that way for a while (they were far from alone on that front).
  5. To be fair the US position is a little different (they do have quite a few troops & weapons stationed on Korean soil, whereas the Chinese & Russians, to date, do not).....But I don't disagree.
  6. It's all posturing, the calculus hasn't changed one iota.....Frankly the best bet would be for America to let the Koreas sort their own issues out, but that just ain't going to happen is it? Far too many $$$s to be made by both the media and the MIC.
  7. I thought that too Bil, but this is just different.....It kind of makes me think of Vietnam TBH. The Map grid/Intel system is superb, I will certainly attempt to use something similar in some of my future efforts.
  8. Once @MOS:96B2P has ironed out the (remarkably few in my experience, thus far) creases, you will be in for a real treat.....As I just said elsewhere, this has taken CM:BS from a game I don't like terribly much, to my favourite in the CM range, literally overnight! I'll second that. PS - Somebody FFS send him a Beta of CM:SF II.....We need him to have some lead time so he can create more wonderful stuff like this!
  9. The thing I find ironic is that Nazi Germany and the Soviets were allied, Germany did much of their clandestine military development on Soviet territory to avoid prying eyes (just look at their respective 1940 era light antitank guns.....They're the same weapon, at least until the Soviets stuck a 45mm on theirs).....Yet the Germans still had no clue whatsoever about the tanks that the Soviets were actually developing!
  10. Keep going.....Those are actually 40mm gun pods (I believe it's a semi-automatic 2pdr AT gun in each pod).
  11. I definitely think this fighting merits consideration as a CM:SF II scenario/campaign, the terrain is wonderfully complex, but nothing that CM can't handle, I've already saved a few maps and images from the area (and a lot of pictures of the T-72M1 on the right in the video above, I'm modelling that one in 1/72). Going back to this, the SAA (or possibly their allies) are now using recaptured tanks that were modified by ISIS at 'The Workshop':
  12. He kinda does now that you mention it. If they do, they've clearly still not quite mastered the 'moonwalk & slide' technique.
  13. Including the one in the picture.....It has 'Orion' written on the side in Cyrillic.
  14. Wouldn't the Soviet designs be classified as 'Breakthrough Tanks'?
  15. The first comment of the 'Executuive Summary' may be good news for @dragonwynn Hopefully this would minimize the issue with mismatched AFVs?
  16. You are quite right.....But that picture's a Pz.III with spaced armour on the mantlet. That's horrible design!
  17. Seven years & still going strong.....I recently started this one too. The first mission is very intimidating, but it's also immensely satisfying, every tile gained without loss seems like a minor victory in itself.
