  1. For a single scenario I don't disagree, finding the settings for the effect you want to create is where the testing comes in.
  2. That could be an option too I suppose, but it has other consequences, so I guess it's up to the individual designer to find the settings that give the required results (or the best approximation thereof) in testing.
  3. What happens if the Norks feed The Donald a VX burger, I wonder?
  4. Having thought about it a bit more I reckon that the CM:SF/CM:SF II T-72AMV is the closest available match to the probable capabilities of the P'okp'ung-Ho and the T-62MV to the Ch'onma-Ho.
  5. Testing of scenario #2 'Al Hutumah' - The Crusher is tentatively under way.....I'll no doubt have to do a lot of fiddling yet, but it's finally getting somewhere. Dawn, Mid December 2016.....CTS Scouts keep watch as an INI agent (escorted by the renowned 'Baba Tahseen') drives to the Ansar Mosque to meet with a local Imam who has been covertly assisting Coalition forces: The Imam is concerned that ISIS are becoming aware of his activities and fears that they may assault the mosque compound at any time, he requests that CTS protect the mosque from ISIS.....CTS' mobile element will take around 15 minutes to arrive, local forces must secure the Ansar Mosque until their arrival. A group of armed locals have been cooperating with CTS and they have volunteered to assist in securing the mosque and protecting the Imam, no doubt greatly reassured by the clattering rotors of a pair of Hind gunships orbiting overhead: Further reinforcements from 9th Armoured Division have been promised and a US Navy SEAL Trident Team is on the way to secure & debrief the Imam (they'll be bringing some F-16s too, just to be on the safe side). This may be an opportunity to catch ISIS off guard.....Can CTS exploit it? As I said, I suspect lots of fiddling still lies ahead. PS - Iraq just bought BMP-3s: http://gurkhan.blogspot.co.uk/2018/02/3_18.html So it looks like BF's decision to include them in the game turned out to be a wise one after all.....Same with the T-90SA as we've also learned fairly recently: Hope that won't stop BF chucking in a T-90 & T-90A or two.....You can never have too many! I just bought this one: But that's probably for another forum.
  6. There's a useful .pdf at that link: http://www.nkeconwatch.com/nk-uploads/kpa-journal-vol-1-no-4.pdf I'd take some of that with a pinch of salt.....The pictures we're seeing don't show the equipment they are talking about, just stretched T-62s with turret NERA much like the T-62M and some ERA here & there.....Plus of course about a zillion pointless bolt on MGs/SAMs/ATGMs. I don't disagree that the T-64BV is the best match in CM:BS, but I do maintain the capabilities of the actual vehicles are likely much closer to upgraded versions of the T-62.
  7. That is very, very impressive indeed.....My hat's off to you sir! Just wish you had some T-62s to play with as base MBT models.....I reckon a T-62MV would be a pretty good approximation for the capabilities of the P'okp'ung-Ho, maybe use the T-62M for the Ch'onma-Ho. Presumably many of your mods for this would be portable to CM:SF II in the future?
  8. I'm not totally dismissing your statement fella, don't get me wrong.....I merely remain sceptical. No doubt with the passage of time we will find out the truth of the matter one way or the other.
  9. A different picture of this rather unusual arrangement came up once before in another thread about Sherman AA MGs (there have been so many).....Turns out the Bren guns really are attached to the Canadian Sherman: Sherman V tank armed with a 75-mm Gun, 5th Canadian Armour Regiment, 8th Princess Louise (New Brunswick) Hussars, Italy, 2 Mar 1944. (Library and Archives Canada Photo, MIKAN No. 3599666 and 3599664)
  10. I know what Nozh looks like internally, but I've not seen it repackaged in K-1 modules as described.....Until I actually do, I shall remain sceptical.
  11. When sandbags or concrete aren't enough on their own:
  12. How do you put Nozh in a K-1 container? You sure it ain't just K-1?
  13. I tend to use the 'Weakened' condition in the editor to simulate fatigued troops.....TBH I kind of thought that was what it was there for.
  14. Some brighter news from the 'propagandist with biased articles', Gur Khan: http://gurkhan.blogspot.co.uk/2018/02/blog-post_44.html#more Looks like @Oleksandr may have been proved right (assuming it actually happens).
  15. I dunno about you guys, but I'd really want him on my side in a fight!
  16. It's easy, you just extract the archive and copy the .btt file to your 'Quick Battle Maps' or 'Master Maps' folder in the CM:A directory, same as you would when importing a scenario.
  17. It seems a bit of an issue to me too.....But I thought the Stryker was based on the Grizzly/LAV, so why did they dump the amphibious capability?
  18. No obligation fella, if it will be fun for you, do it, otherwise..... Still up to my neck in mapping (first time I've done anything other than an urban map really), spent most of the evening building a mine and the road leading to it.....Building roads on mountains is hard, even virtually!
