WEGO vs REAL TIME: Pre-release poll

Ok sports fans, time for you guys to let everyone know which mode you "think" you will prefer playing.

At first I was more into the turn based play but now seeing as there is so much more you can actually do in RT, I prefer RT by far (Which wasn't the case up until about a month ago). So lets have some record of what you guys think now before playing and what you like later.

I really like the WEGO system so that will get my vote now. RT brings visions of Warcraft and Command and Conquer but I will definitely play both.

Excellent idea Sixxkiller. I'd love to know how people's preferences change also. Before I picked up CM:SF I was convinced I would play WEGO exclusively. So counting you and me, we start off with

WEGO: 3

RTS: 0

I haven't played the game so I have no clue, but it sounds like real time will be more appealing based on what beta testers have said.

I love wego, so thats my vote for now. We shall see though, the testers did talk about realtime alot.

I'm ready to embrace Real-Time for solo play, but I think I'll stick with WeGo for playing against humans. I've got two small kids and a busy workload, and it's rare that I have time for an extended session online against a human.

Without having played the game I would vote WEGO. If the AI is decent and doesn't need babysitting then I might change my vote.

While I'm not fond of RTS either, I'll probably start by playing in RT against the AI so that games are quicker.

To answer the question I would have said WEGO. But testing I have played realtime almost exculsively. As a matter of fact, if WEGO doesn't work I blame myself for having not tried it in such a long time (except for PBEM....more about that after the release).

I prefer bigger battles, which may be unmanageable in RT from what I've read. Also, PBEM roXors. So WEGO for me.

I can only answer this in the past-tense. When I first got the (VERY early) Beta and tried Realtime I thought "Oh my God! I couldn't possibly play the game like this!" Then the camera movement regime got substantially ovehauled and I'm now 99.9% Realtime.

I have to go for WEGO.

I played CMx1 by myself for 3 years before I finally convinced someone (now 2) to PBEM against me. Since we have such different schedules (1x married, 1x soldiering, 1x cats) it is hard to play head to head except WEGO.
