    It is so odd that @Aragorn2002 decided to send a post to this very thread BECAUSE AT THAT VERY MOMENT I WAS FINALLY GOING BACK AND DOING THE SAPPER UNIFORM! Isn't that so strange...!
    7 years ago! I have learned a lot more since then and though I am still no benparks or anybody with those photoshop talents, I have been crawling slowly forward.
    I just focused on outfitting a platoon of sappers modtagged as [sapper]. Now trying for a little variety in the layout of the garments. 

    AND GET THIS! I am actually now playing a PBEM as Romanians attacking against the opponent with his platoon of sappers in amoeba defending a train station.
    I will get an AI plan in place and then return here to paste a dropbox link for the entire mod and offer the scenario of course.

    Hello,
    I was messing around with models and decided to fix the fact that the ZIS gun shields are way too straight. Ironically they're at the correct angle on the limbered model, so I took the gun shields from those.

    As was explicitly said by a tester, Soviet uniforms and infantry models are still work in progress. So, beta screenshots might not represent what the final product will be.
    I'm positive that when we'll, finally, run CM:CW on our PCs, we'll see an assortment of SSh-68 and SSh-40/60 helmets.

    Actually most of us Bolshie lovers won't get too upset, because those red bastards got the last laugh, so to speak, and we are too-well-used-to wargame developers pandering to players that glorify the German military.
    That said, I have no idea why you'd consider that "honoring the last stand of the Wehrmacht" would be more "fair" than honoring those that defeated Nazism after it had treacherously invaded their country?  Weird...

    Bolshie lover?  uhhhhh, the wehrmacht et al killed around 25M folks in soviet russia.  Russia did not attack germany.  So yes let's 'honor' them??  for a war of murder and extermination??  Hitler's plan was for the enslavement, banishment or murder of 160M people.  So yes, the russian invasion was certainly a most 'honorable' endeavor.  As long as we all agree that those 160M weren't actually people, but some sort of subhuman eastern hordes like all those twisted german memoirs always say (I've read piles of them).    
    The last stand of the wehrmacht was utter madness, not something honorable.  It was the reckoning of their murderous actions.  Having said that, I am really looking forward to fighting on the Oder and in Hungary.  As either side.  Yes, well, I have to reconcile that somehow.....
    And having said that, I am currently fighting through Blunting the Spear as wehrmacht, so where do I really go with this......

    Congratulations on bringing a vision of CM so many of us have pined for to reality!  This is the most excited I have been for a CM game in some time and the potential to build off of the initial title only heightens the anticipation.
    Speaking of the visual representation of infantry, wouldn’t it make more sense to model disposable AT rockets (M-72, RPG-18, etc.) as collapsed when on the backs of infantry models?  Just an opinion from the outside looking in seeing as this would be the correct depiction for the vast majority of the time the models are displayed to the player.  Rendering them in firing position all of the time to satisfy a firing sequence that lasts only a second or two seems backwards to me if a choice has to be made.
    Anyways, thanks again for your dedication, here’s hoping the final pieces fall smoothly into place for your team.

    Literally never heard of this game until i saw it on Steam last year and i scoffed at the price at first.
    5 months later I have purchased every single game and module except for CMFI, im going to buy it but my wallet lol
    Massive respect to the developers for creating something amazing, that seems tailored for me personally.  I've been trying to get my friends to play but they arent tactical
    Sorry if this is a boring post but I heard a podcast with a gentleman from BF and he mentioned they were testing Steam out and just wanted to provide this feedback

    In CM squad organization affect gameplay, unlike other games. You can't split Soviet squads, because they get morale penalty and start to panic after getting fire. The reason is absence of squad leader assistant. Soviet squad had only 1 NCO, while in German were 2. That is true... Until 27.09.1941. Below is Stalin's order №374. He states, that on machinegunners posts (Also ATR riflemen, mortar and artillery gunners) must be designated "most skillful and initiative" soldiers. They must be promoted to junior sergeants or gefreiters. In TO&E must be created new position - squad leader assistant. They got more salary, 12,5 rubles additionally. So, in Soviet squad of 1944-1945 were 2 NCOs, like in other armies. 
    Another question - squad headcount. In 1941 TO&E squad headcount was 11 men. In 1943 in 4/550 TO&E headcount was reduced to 9-10 (including platoon HQ or not). In 1944 high command decided to stop reinforcing rifle divisions too full strength (according 4/550 TO&E), leaving maximum strength 6-7 thousands men. HQs of rifle divisions started to make calculations to define subunits headcount (As far as I know, there was no centralized TO&E like before) Some of them are published, I post them below (in next comment): for 141 men company (full strength 4/550: 4 squads, 9 men), 111 men (4 squads, 7 men) and 90 men (3 squads, 7 men).
    I think these schemes are most close to reality. 1-st variant (141 men) is in the game already, it is called "1943". I would suggest to replace game TO&E "1944" by one of these schemes: for 111 men company or 90 men company. With 4 (3) squads, 7 men and 1 lmg in each one. I think 111 men companies are best for the game, because you can delete 4th squad if you want. Note that these schemes are not "under strength". They are for full strength divisions of 44-45 (6000 or 7000 strength). No divisions were reinforced to 4/550 TO&E as far as I know. May be few, coming from rear, that didn't take part in battles of 1943-1944. 11 men - this is from 1941, not 1944. And if some very lucky division would get large reinforcement, they would rather add 4-th squad instead of making 3 11 men squads. 
    So, Soviet squad had 2 NCOs and 7 men with 1 lmg. (And 2 or 6 SMGs) There were no official "teams", but according to regulations lmg could act separately, covering movement of the squad. So, I think that squad could be divided to 2 teams: lmg team leaded by machinegunner (SL assisnant), 3 men, and rest of the squad, 4 men. Actually, lmg team had 2 men, but it's hard to believe that 1 assistant could carry 6 DP disks, having weight 40kg. + his own rifle.

    Maybe some folks can help me? I have atrophied on some of my CM related skills and know-how...
    Q1. Is dropbox the thing I should use or is there something better? I would eventually upload to CMMODS of course but I always loved the freedom of sending dropbox links so people could try out my mods or or scenarios and provide quick feedback.
    Q2. I guess photobucket is mad at me, I used to see my images plain but now they say photobucket across them. For future image hosting and posting here, what is best?
    Q3. I had a free download of photoshop but now it seems to always crash. Is there something else free that I can open my old photoshop files with?
    I appreciate any advice on the above Q's. Thanks.

    Near NAI2 a Tank Section 1 tank (1/9)) spotted the BMP-1PK that M-150(1/4) had spotted in the previous minute and fired short on. 

    It took two rounds, but eventually the tank put one through the BMP, in the front and out the back.  This was the Company Commander BMP mentioned in my last post.  Hopefully the Company CO was on board when the round hit. 
    Range:  1610m.

    Another BMP-1PK (Company HQ vehicle) moved forward and was spotted on NAI2 by M150(1/5) .  It loosed a TOW, which after about 10 seconds in the air…

    …hit the damned trees.  This BMP is very well situated and close enough to the edge of the trees to still be able to see out, yet far enough back that the trees provide some protection.  Classic positioning.
    Range: 1546m

    One of the Scout Teams has reached it’s observation position (OP) and notices some infantry movement moving from NAI3 and it looks like it may be heading toward the town.  No... this does not appear to be related to the MP that was just destroyed.
    Also spotted as an infantry or scout team moving from NAI2 towards the smoke screen.  Will keep an eye on these contacts, but I find it curious that Warren would order dismounted teams to move towards Dolbach.

    Reinforcements!  Received my first (of two) reinforcements this turn.  Including:
    2nd AC Platoon equipped with M113A1, M-60A1, and M150 Tank Hunters
    Mortar Section equipped with an HQ on an M-577 and x3 M106A1s Armored Cavalry (AC) Troop HQ and Forward Observer team, both mounted on M-113A1s
    What are my plans for them?  It is way too early and I don’t have enough information to task them yet.
    For now they will be the first component of my reserve, counter-attack force.  I plan on keeping 1st AC Platoon engaged and observing the enemy movements and positions.  Once I have enough information I will make a plan for my reserve.
    I think I can put my M-106s to work pretty soon though, depending on what he sends down EAA1.

    By use the mod tools to RezExplode the brz file .
    I find the soldiers in WW2 title ,they have 3 stand-die aniamtions,5 prone-die aniamtions,and  3 kneel-die aniamtions.
    But it will all random show only on the soldiers equiped with rifles(such as M1,98K,MOSIN,enifield etc).
    the soldiers equiped with SMG and MG will only show 1 stand-die aniamtions,1 prone-die aniamtions,and  1 kneel-die aniamtions. like this picture
    😁I don't think that since BFC has done so many death animations, it can only be used by soldiers who equiped rifles.
    So I just copy ,paste and rename ,start the WW2 TITLE and test ,it works!  


    and then I remember the old CMSF1 game,I very like the stand-die aniamtions and kneel-die aniamtions in it ,YES, the old cmsf1 has only 1 animation in each postion.
    I continue to copy ,paste and rename, now it works again!!!! the classic stand-die aniamtion come to WW2 title now.


    now the soldiers  have 4 stand-die aniamtions,5 prone-die aniamtions,and 4 kneel-die aniamtions,No matter what weapon is used。
    I'm not a corpse obsessed pervert, I just think it's more interesting😆

    Great wee vid showing T-34/85s being driven hard - they’re a lot smokier than I’d have thought!
    Makes a change from the more common sedate 10km/h round in circles you normally see.
