    Yea the replay sytem would be cool, to watch after you finish the battle in Turn based or real-time to watch unfolding.

    In the QB they cost the same, but my expierence with the helis is that the AH-1Fs die much less faster the the AH-1Ss. But i really wonder if there is a difference in the coding or something, except the their names of course.

    @Gary R Lukas I had a battle in H2H where my air assetes were 2 A-10s with 4 Mavericks and 4 bombs, and 2 AH-1Fs with 8 TOWs and 38 Hydras, the enemy had Iglas and Shilkas. What I've learned from this battle is that Mavericks are hella good, the Shilkas and Iglas only fire when the A-10s are "Attacking", when they are coming around they would do nothing, same for the AH-1F, the AA only fired hwen he launced TOWs. So, I guess the game simulates the Maverick's standoff range againts the Shilka, (about 6km effective range for the ATGM and 3km effective range for the AA) and also obsticales that the Helis could hide behind, after all the battlefied was a fulda gap like terrain, so they were a lot of hills. I've launched my A-10s at the start of the game, and only one got shotdown at the end when he tried to do a bombing run (not the Mavericks) and the AH-1s i've launched mid to late game. They overhaul togather knocked out 8 tanks, and 5 BMPs. The tanks that i fought againts were T-64Bs, which i could not pen at 2000m with my M60 TTS, they would just fire first, not pen, and then get fired upon, and get penned. The CAS saved for me the game. I've also noticed a difference between AH-1s, AH-1Fs will survive longer than the AH-1Ss andthe AH-1Gs. Also for the typbe of aircraft, F4Es will not survive that much againts Iglas, Strelas and Shilkas, the A-10 however, will survive much more, and the best at it, is the F-16A, which BTW could carry the most Mavericks in the game (6 of them).

    I definitely agree that in general aircraft do need a bit of love in CM. This is purely anecdotal so take the following with a grain of salt, but in CMSF1 aircraft (especially helicopters) tended to loiter on station more and engage area targets more frequently. However in the current engine it appears that they are much more likely to wave off if they cannot find a target right away. I've noticed this in all the CM games where aircraft are involved. 
    I also agree that the area is too small when it comes to aircraft. I wish I could tell my A-10s or gunships to target a much larger area. That would make it a lot easier to engage moving enemy formations, and it would be a better way to abstract real aircraft CAS procedures, where a section of the battlefield is essentially declared a free fire area.

    When an aircraft or flight like an A-10 does an attack run, they aren't going to just zip around our CM map attacking stuff. In real life the aircraft has an Initial Point (IP) which is where they start their run, under control of the FAC or FIST. Make the run. Aircraft exit to somewhere near to the rear and possibly loiter. Now if they get new direction in the middle of that, they have to leave the area, loiter, process the new info, and set up again with an IP and a new attack run. Those minutes are not unreasonable in an environment where you don't control the skies and there is a significant AA threat. I think it's unrealistic to just make a quick adjust. 
    Keep in mind the size of a CM map and the fact that even an A-10 which can fly pretty low and slow, is moving at a speed about 10-15x faster than a tank speeding across open ground.

    I fully and totally understand this point of view, but I don't agree with it.
    I would like the AI to do these things without being told - and in fairness, the AI has been getting better over recent upgrades.
    I love making maps, especially QB maps, but I don't want to spend hours micromanaging and testing AI plans. I would prefer improvements and extensions to the way it works already.
    In fact, my ideal would be that you could give the AI a single order, like 'attack aggressively', and it would work out everything else for itself. That's unrealistic for now, but the way it functions already is kind of based on that sort of thinking, which I think is the best way to go.

    Some one got an HD Pack for CMBS ? If yuou do, pleas consider share me your pack in Dropbox. (There aren't any HD Environment or large amount of HD vehicles in the CMMOD3\4.

    One thing I would also like to be implemented, is that you could put weapons and ammo back in vehicles, for example if you are mistaken taking the weapon you didn't want or you just don't need the weapons when the inf dismounts (only for weapons you took from the vehicle).

    Post here your engine 5 wishlist  I Would very like to know what other people want to implement in the game.
    Personally, I would like:
    -Actual Servo Stabilizer for MBTs with two-plane Stabilizer
    -being able to tell a vehicle with multiple heavy weapon systems (such as IFVs with Autocannons and ATGMs) What weapons to use (shoot ATGMs only, shoot Cannons only, shoot ATGMs only at Tanks etc..)

    Distant sound .wav's (they could be generic "standard" & "heavy" like gun shot trails currently are)... also a "heavy bullet zip" sound would be appreciated.
    Infantry that are cowering/supressed could be yet more resiliant to long range fire.
    The Alt-T option that removes all foilage could instead make foilage translucent.
    A creeping barrage artillery option (especcially for WW2 battles).
    Bullet impacts much more likely to generate dust puffs/debris/mips.

    -A system of colours or icons to recognizes visually the differents squads
    -Representing each soldier in a squad
    -Having a Chief of Command Floating Icon

    I want exactly what we have now, with a redesigned, modern UI and a completely new campaign system.
    Untether me from the supply pipeline and allow me to generate endless campaigns tailored to my tastes.

    Oh, and a modular approach with Combat Mission as a base, where each module plugs in, allowing all content from all modules to be freely used in any scenario, regardless of 'historical accuracy' concerns.
     
    This could go on all day, but one more thing. Bring back the ability to direct indirect fires without LOS.

    "Follow" command that works in terrain or on roads, and duplicates the waypoints for each following unit so adjustments can be made.

    Actually, a different camera system. Camera 1 First Person shooter +driver's position. Camera 2, AFV Turret Camera3 Open. Climb up the stairs with the mouse wheel. Camera 5-9 Actual maps or screen displays. Stops borg spotting.
