Yes, I know. Credit to him. I feel better updated by his posts than by the Associated Press.

According to Maxar Satelite images a large 5km long russian convoy is on route to Kyiv, about 40km away

While I would like to believe it I doubt the amount of war defying conscripts outnumbers the pro war and scared ones.

Inhabitants of Dniprorudne town, Zaporizhzhia oblast, led by their mayor blocked the entrance to own town to Russian tanks. After short dialogue Russians have driven away. Looks like this was the same "small raid group" of current war Russian tactic, meant above. On the other video, filmed from the railroad bridge above the road, looks like the citizens were ready to use molotov coctails if the tanks would try to go further...

It is worth mentioning that this one time spending of 100bn (roughly 2x of normal spending) will be used for RnD and equipment procurement and represents 10 years of investments, as the normal RnD budget is slightly above 10bn.
With long term increase to >2% spending, the bundeswehr will finally be able to escape its famined torture

Here is their first probe on Pryluky. But their column was ambushed near Sribne village in 32 km eastern from Pryluky.

There was a bad version of the ATI/AMD graphics drivers causing this.

A couple of testers with AMD cards were able to solve this issue by rolling back their drivers to 21.8.2 or earlier.

I am moving my backups of some Black Sea mods to a new location.  If any of the included authors with me to desist, please PM me and I shall do so.
I took the liberty of renaming some seemingly mis-named normal map files in one of Kieme's files, and note there seem to be some missing in at least two others (though this in particular may be intentional if the changes are small).

Maybe underlying simulation is deeper, but if the game shows an open green field with a clearly skylined tank facing sideways while your tank is pointing directly at it at a range where you could almost  make it out with the Mk 1 Eyeball in Late Stage cold war with magnified optics at your hand you would expect your tank to spot it easily.
Doesn't matter if its a test range or not, your gunner should immediately see the tank in his sight, or atleast after 5 sec while scanning horizon, not after sideways facing tank does a 90° swoop and blows it up. Wether the crew knows there should be a tank or not as long as they have their eyes somewhat open and aren't drunk they'd spot it.
If the code can't simulate your tank directly looking at another tank how accurate is the simulation reflecting reality?

It doesn't require any additional evidence to understand that optics of Soviet tanks in late Cold war period could easily detect targets at 2 km distance during daylight under perfect weather conditions.
In fact everybody can spot tank at 2 km in the open field using cheapest binoculars, not to mention tank optics that costs dozens or hundreds thousands in USD.

There is some great stuff there that would fit with the existing loading screens with some photoshop work, but no provenance for the material whatsoever.  A handful have watermarks from wherever they were originally pulled.  Could make the basis for a good mod.

Hadn't seen this fine set of pics before and, frankly, am not really all that great on discerning the various T-72 and T-90 versions. AllI I sought to do was find a way to get those photos over here, especially after I noticed the new (to me) protective scheme. The article you provided was very good. It packed a lot of information into a small piece.

    Regards,

    John Kettler

Kraft, put a brz in the RezExplode “Input” folder and click “Execute”. RezExplode is in the Mod Tools  folder in your game’s main directory. Also more information in the manual. Cheers!

Yes, this is it. But probably some sort of local "hand-made". I couldn't find something similar of Soviet or Russian. It is for POM-2 mines set. Last two years the enemy especially widely uses this weapon. This mine can be set only remotely with several types of launchers or even with RPG-7 (local invention). When POM-2 activetes, it throws four thin 8-10 m wires with sensors. If somebody hooks on this wire it tears easily and caused explosion with 10 m round zone of complete hit. POM-2 have modifications with self-destruction 4-100 hours or w/o self-destruction.
It is dangerous weapon, which can, for example, being launched during enemy advance to compel attackers to stop. It also hinders a movement between platoon strongpoints. Also can be used as a bait for snipers - two months ago enemy set several POM-2 mines near our positions, when our sapper group arrived to destroy it, they were shot out by snipers - three were killed, two wounded.
