  1. Trying to find that myself (Russo-Finish front correct?). I haven't seen available anywhere for streaming (like Netflix). Let us know where we can get it after you've got yours
  2. If you're looking for more feedback, consider uploading to The Proving Grounds (TPGII at http://www.thefewgoodmen.com/tpg2/). It's what they do! Good luck with this and thank you for your efforts.
  3. Correct about the new repositories. They are 1) The Proving Grounds 2 (http://www.thefewgoodmen.com/tsd3/), 2) The Scenario Depot 3 (http://www.thefewgoodmen.com/tsd3/), and 3) CM MODS 3 (http://cmmodsiii.greenasjade.net/). The first is a place scenario designers can post for playtesting. The second is where completed scenarios, campaigns, and maps reside. The third is all the re-skinned graphics and sound mods. All are sponsored by The Few Good Men (TFGM - http://www.thefewgoodmen.com/). They were set up a year ago. News about the new the BFC website and store updates has been sparse indeed.
  4. There was also talk a year ago of updating / refurbishing / revising the Battefront Store. Is lack of progress there affecting release of products for sale?
  5. http://www.battlefront.com/lists/
  6. Thank you, John. I was aware of that forum. I posted here because the DropTeam forum seems to be dead as a door nail; no one posts nor visits anymore. I was hoping someone at this forum might tell me more.
  7. 8. I concur. It was shown on German television targeting the German post war "Baby-Boomers" generation showing what their own parents never talked about with them.
  9. Not that I've noticed yet. I'm running a clean install on a new computer; Windows 10 Home version 1511 (OS Build 10586.545)
  10. The Battlefront store shows CMFI v3.0 upgrade as a separate product costing USD$10 to purchase. CMFI + CMGL bundle = $65. CMFI by itself = $55. CMGL by itself = $35 but requires that you own CMFI first. (http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=37&Itemid=26) If you can afford it, I recommend the CMFI + CMGL bundle for USD$65, then getting v3.0 for another USD$10. It really is worth it.
  11. Last word from BFC was 26-July in Beyond Gustav Line thread
  12. I first came across Battlefront tactical wargames with CMBN several years ago. DropTeam still showed in the store but has since gone the way of the Dodo bird. As someone mildly interested in Mil-SF, what did I miss? Is it gone forever? Where might I find it today? If I raise an issue of aggravated controversy, please feel free to close this thread. Thank you.
  13. Good selection for your criteria. Truth be told, CMBN, CMFI, CMRT, and CMFB are an embarrassment of riches; picking just one is a surprisingly difficult choice. So many games, so little time . . .
  14. Here is the typical Windows PC install file path: This PC / Data Drive (disk you intalled in - default is "C") / Users / Your user name / Documents / Battlefront / Combat Mission Battle for Normandy / Data . . . You create a "Z" folder under "Data" and copy all your mods there. Bolded entries vary PC to PC. Let us know how it goes.
  15. Yes. The site is hosted by @GreenAsJade. He is a forum member here. If you send him a PM (see "message" in your forum top menu bar - send to GreenAsJade), he will likely answer. Enjoy the mods. Good luck and good gaming.
  16. Windows 10 users: It seems that FRAPS is not entirely Windows10 compatible. In my case, it worked once and then fails ever after. Googling an alternative, I came accross BANDICAM; https://www.bandicam.com/fraps-alternative/ and https://www.bandicam.com/support/start2/. I'm favorably impressed so far with their free download version. I have not used the video recording tools yet but taking screenshots is straightforward and created as JPEG (.jpg) files instead of the FRAPS's free version less robust Bitmap (.bmp) files. For those Windows 10 users now in need of a FRAPS alternative, check out and consider Bandicam. Good luck and good gaming.

  18. These are outstanding! Is there a way to make them available to us other mere mortals?
  19. Also, toggle ALT and Z keys together to confirm whether they appear or not in a game. "Alt-Z" = Toggle Command Link
  20. I suspect that when the mini-Meaches and micro-Mishga's grow old enough to embrace Combat Mission, the intensity of their focus will be truly fierce and formidable to behold! Hope all continues to go well and well enough. Now, if we could only find out where Mord has been hiding since last July?
  21. Yes, barely. No, too late. Seek to strengthen thy own google-foo, my son! M18 recoilless rifle https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M18_recoilless_rifle World War II The first fifty[6] production M18 57 mm cannons and ammunition were rushed from the factories to the European Theater in March 1945. Further examples were subsequently sent to the Pacific Theater. The first combat the new cannon saw was with the U.S. Army's 17th Airborne Division near Essen, Germany. While impressed with the performance of the high explosive (HE) warhead, the M18's 57 mm HEAT round proved to be a disappointment, with only 63.5 mm (2.5-in.) of armor penetration at 90 degrees,[7][note 4] compared with the older M1A1 Bazooka which had a nominal penetration of nearly 120 mm.[8][note 5][9] In the Pacific Theater, the new lightweight 57 mm cannon was an absolute success as "pocket artillery" for the soldiers of U.S. Army infantry units that were issued the M18. It was first used in the Pacific Theater during the Battle of Okinawa on June 9, 1945, and proved with its HE and WP rounds it was the perfect weapon for the hard fighting that took place against the dug-in Japanese in the hills of that island. The only complaint the U.S. Army had was the lack of sufficient 57 mm ammunition for the M18.[10] M40 recoil-less rifle https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M40_recoilless_rifle The M40 recoil-less rifle is a lightweight,[3] portable, crew-served 105 mm weapon intended primarily as an anti-tank weapon made in the United States. The weapon is commonly described as being 106 mm, but it is in fact 105 mm; the 106 mm designation was intended to prevent confusion with the incompatible 105 mm ammunition from the failed M27.[4] It could also be employed in an antipersonnel role with the use of the antipersonnel-tracer flechette round. It can be fired primarily from a wheeled ground mount. The air-cooled, breech-loaded, single-shot rifle fired fixed ammunition. It was designed for direct firing only, and sighting equipment for this purpose was furnished with each weapon. The M27 recoil-less rifle was a 105-mm weapon developed in the early 1950s and fielded in the Korean War. Although a recoilless rifle of this caliber had been a concept since the Second World War, the weapon was hurriedly produced with the onset of the Korean War. The speed with which it was developed and fielded resulted in problems with reliability caused by trunnions that were mounted too far to the rear. The M27 was also considered too heavy by the U.S. Army and had a disappointing effective range due to the lack of a spotting rifle. Taking the M27 as the basis for a new design, the Army developed an improved version of the M27 that was type-designated the M40 106-mm recoil-less rifle in 1955.[5] Originally, along with its type-designation, it was also given the official name BAT for Battalion Anti-Tank gun, but that was soon dropped.[6] Although unsuitable for military purposes, M27 recoil-less rifles were used to trigger controlled avalanches at ski resorts and mountain passes in the United States.[7] The M40 primarily saw action during the Vietnam War. It was later replaced by the BGM-71 TOW anti-tank missile system. The weapon was also used by anti-communist forces in Angola mounted on Land Rovers.
