  1. I think your briefing should at least mention something about other units in the area which may be able to reinforce or support. Something like, "Division HQ is out of contact with a number of units operating in your area. Should you establish contact with any, link up and consolidate under your operational control for the duration of active operations."
  2. +1 in all regards. I concur that WeGo is the best learning mode.
  3. +1. I fought this also and find it a great scenario too. My results match yours. A great design for AI attack. Human defender cannot play gamey to win.
  4. I could see this as a post-2017 CMFI "Battle Pack" module as well.
  5. Correct as @Raptorx7 says. On map mortars can engage their tubes with direct fire on targets they can spot in addition to being available as on-call artillery via the artillery window. Use the "target command" line-of-sight tool to place rounds directly by the mortar units. The artillery window works for them if, and only if, they are in communication with the FO/Officer calling for fires. You see that as "in" (green) or "out" (red) of contact in the artillery window. A good technique is to leave a radio operator with the mortar section so that artillery window fires can be called as well.
  6. Me too. An upgrade fee per licensed game owned is reasonable. +1
  7. @rocketman, you mentioned receiving an update on 28-Sept-2016. My update history shows: KB3194496 - installed 9/29/2016 KB3176936 - installed 9/28/2016 KB3188128 - installed 9/28/2016 Feature update to Windows 10, version 1607 - installed 9/28/2016 I did notice last night (9/29) that odd colors displayed on the FGM website; the black background looked puce (purplish) instead. I then noticed that KB3194496 was pending updates at that time according to my system tray . I rebooted PC for the updates to take. After that, colors returned to what I normally expected. You may have been between or in the process of other updates when your problems occurred. Other than that, I've noticed no other problems for me.
  8. Not yet. I'll pay more attention though. Thanks for the heads-up.
  9. Understood. Thanks. Time to place a call to @Aristoteles to invoke his interest and beg his indulgence!
  10. Hmmm, unless I'm mistaken, double-check http://cmmodsiii.greenasjade.net/?p=1935 Posted By: Aristoteles 29th August 2015 SdKfz 7 Flakvierling 20mm SdKfz 7 Zugkraftwagen 37mm Medium Flak 37mm Light Flak (Flakvierling 20mm) http://www.mediafire.com/file/kl4l277dkhm1861/CMBN+ARIS+Axis.zip also references SdKfz 20mm as well
  11. Check these. Advise if not what you seek. Good hunting! http://cmmodsiii.greenasjade.net/?p=1703 http://cmmodsiii.greenasjade.net/?p=1935 http://cmmodsiii.greenasjade.net/?p=3023 http://cmmodsiii.greenasjade.net/?p=4192
  12. +1. Kudos for that. Let us know the outcome. Good luck.
  13. Steve, when can we spend our money? Yes, they will be ready when they are ready but any ETA's?
  14. I have learned to never underestimate the human capacity for self-delusion. Modern propaganda has evolved much since WW1; not just governments can play anymore. "The medium is the message" began long before and continues long after the phrase was coined by Marshall McLuhan. It seems "truth" is often inconvenient . . . (With apologies to the Thread owner for derailing his discussion).
  15. I manage IT projects for a living using skills I picked up during 4 years active service in the US Army; analogous to pushing string and herding cats. Teaching skills apply but the knack is mostly about communicating among multi-cultural teams (which both army troops and CM players well resemble!). Thank you instead, @SLIM for taking the initiative to accomplish this!
  16. @usgubgub, you are very welcome. Glad to help. Good luck and good gaming.
  17. @Bootie, U B da Man! I concur that this is not appropriate for TPGII but it is a very fine proto-type tool to plug into TSDIII. As said, rating "works in process" doesn't make much sense. Rating finished scenario's and campaigns does. This will be a great feature for The Scenario Depot. Thank you for your kind consideration.
  18. You can't be all things to all players. State up front that your video's assume the viewer knows the basics; basic tactics and basic game play. Then let your new format focus on "show & tell" for the concepts you propose. When you conclude the video, consider adding a still frame at the end that says, "And for new players who want help understanding the basics, hit the 'pause' button and make note of these references here". Then list whatever source materials you think any newbies could use; FM numbers, military science URL's, youtube links, etc. I like your new format proposal. As @c3k says, show us one. I'm sure you'll receive only profound and priceless feedback. This is a great project. Kudos to you. I wish you well and fully support this.
  19. @usgubgub, you have to send a private message (PM) to @Vein. He will provide you dropbox links from there. The downloads are too big for the old repository and he has not uploaded them to CMMODSIII at this time. Good luck and good gaming!
  20. @Bootie, Thank you for all your work on this. TPGII is a neat way to showcase designers and get good feedback before release. Wish list item for TSDIII. I miss the old repository's rating system. I really liked it's ability to quantify the quality of scenario's and campaigns posted. Please consider adding that kind of feature to the new Scenario Depot too. Thank you again.
