  1. Hitler was a lunatic and Invading Russia usually doesn't end well.....Possibly a message (or two) in there somewhere.
  2. The first idea is rather neat. Would it not only effect the 'damaged' textures/models for a given vehicle type? I'm not very familiar with mods.
  3. That rather complicates matters for you.....How soon do the Hinds become available?
  4. Maybe make a mod or build a scenario, see how long it took you and then multiply it by a pack's-worth.....Should help with your future estimations.
  5. Great news.....I love messing around on your maps, ever since Hammertime.
  6. Probably the best bet.....I'd be tempted to create a truck pool, guarded by a few dismounts, then accumulate my forces and wait for the Hinds. I don't think I've actually played this scenario (if I have it was a long time ago), but I've built quite a few scenarios on the map, so I know it quite well, I've made a slightly extended version that offers a few more tactical opportunities.
  7. You'd still need to set the victory conditions, but it should be pretty doable.
  8. IMHO there are entirely too many rattly sabers in the world right now.
  9. You would very probably need to write and test AI scripts for the map and then re-save it as a QB map for use as normal, hopefully the AI will assign units from your picks to the correct AI groups, again this would probably need testing. For the same level or slightly less effort you could just write a custom scenario which you could share with the wider community (although a truly massive and functional QB map might be equally popular).
  10. Blimey.....Much bigger bangs are definitely needed for those fellows. While we're at it, the ability to 'Make Smoke' is much needed for tanks in the game, mostly Soviet/Russian ones, but some others too.
  11. Sadly it's the one game we know won't be updated. But on a brighter note it is still a good game (better than CM:SF in a lot of ways) and it is very, very cheap to buy.....Shame about the trucks.
  12. Savage! The Mujahideen seem to have an awful lot of men and trucks are a bloody liability in CM:A, they can't even carry nasty surprises. Spot on about the Hinds, as a Blue commander once you hear 'That Sound', it's time to head for the exit-zones!
  13. This subject has been circulating on the modelling forums (many of which were utterly laid waste by PB's greedy move), apparently there's a fix for the Firefox & Chrome browsers: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/125705-photobucket-fix/
  14. Another bump in response to Photobucket vandalism (MINOR SPOILER ALERT): Bad day in old Ramadi: Don't let 'em get too close: Help is on the way: Be careful where you drive: Truly tricky little mission, but eminently satisfying, even when it goes horribly wrong.....I don't have a current link for this one, but I'm sure @LongLeftFlank can provide.
  15. Felt the need to bump this one with some re-uploaded pictures (MODERATE SPOILER ALERT): Tracking British Paras is easy, just follow the enemy corpses: The bayonet charge, as fresh (& effective) today as it ever was: Death Race 2000: Tea & Medals: Brilliant scenario, very replayable, get it here: http://www.thefewgoodmen.com/tsd3/cm-shock-force-2/cm-shock-force/op-barras-a-coy-1-para-sierra-leone/
  16. So, I know I've made my scenario pretty tough, possibly too tough, but then there's this:
  17. Bombs really don't need to explode to kill a tank: A lobotomised T-55!
  18. Agreed. While I may have some criticisms, they are meant to be constructive.....I think the first tank might reasonably be described as 'bludgeoned to death', regardless of the hatches (which are not burned on the inner surfaces). CM does not appear to model this and IMHO it should.
  19. I've not noticed the issue with Excalibur described here, but I was massively disappointed at the lack of firepower modelled into Russian PGMs.....Multiple direct hits being unable to score a mission kill on an IFV. As modelling in other threads has shown, large calibre artillery strikes are not at all kind to armoured vehicles: This was done by mortars: Pretty sure those two fellas were both a lot tougher than a Bradley.
  20. As c3k point out, based on the Iranian RQ-170 incident, it appears that it is possible to spoof GPS coordinates too.
  21. SAA are rolling ISIS up, surrounding them and clearing the pockets, Deir Ez Zor should be liberated in a matter of days.....Go SAA! All taken from LoooSeR's magnificent (400+ pages) Syria thread over at Sturgeon's House: http://sturgeonshouse.ipbhost.com/topic/786-syrian-conflict/ (if you get a username/password request on visiting the thread, just ignore it, the page is fully accessible).
  22. My biggest question is.....'Why is this in the CM:SF forum?'
  23. The flamethrower Char B1bis is strictly German.
