From what I can see a relatively small % of what I sent has made it to CMMODS IV as yet.  We're talking about half a terrabyte of mods - a truly huge amount of work when you see how Bootie is attractively presenting the info on his site.  (It would have been a lot easier and faster imo if the same simple format was used as for the old greenasjade CMMODS site.)  Am sure Bootie is doing his best to get stuff up.

I love the Panzer Brigade Panzer Grenadiers in FB, since they're all armed with MP44's.
Hope we'll see something similar in FR, as well as the Volksgrenadiers.  Begleitgrenadiers are the best way to stand up to Soviet SMG squads in RT at the moment, but I'm looking forward to more options.

The module takes CMRT from the end of the Bagration era (September 1944 iirc) and brings it all the way through to May 1945. So yes, it adds fall, winter, and spring to the game.
Not entirely sure what you mean about assault squads, but the Volksgrenadiers featured in CMFB will be present in the CMRT module, and they are basically assault infantry when armed with the MP44. The module also adds in the SS, Luftwaffe field divisions, Kriegsmarine, and Volksturm for the defense of Berlin. So there is plenty of stuff to play with, both new and old.

    Hello,
You may have noticed this already, but there are a few very noticeable graphical bugs in-game:
All StuGs after the StuG III G (earliest) and StuHs have their spare track textures bugged.

Sherman II (mid) tank commander stands too low while buttoned out

I confirmed that no mods affect this by moving the Z folder out.
There should still be a few, but these are the most noticeable ones.
I definitely hope these were noticed and will be fixed in the next patch.

EDIT: I remembered that Sherman III commanders stand too far right of the cupola, thus their right arm clips through the turret. Might affect other British Shermans as well.

This isn't an exaggeration in the slightest. Don't forget that this module is also adding some pretty significant corrections to the base TO&E in CMRT as well. The amount of content in this module must make it one of the largest modules released. The hype is indeed real.

The closest I have is II Batallion from Fallschirmjäger-Regiment 9 commanded by Major Siegfried Taubert. Maybe the Stoumont battle in the Peiper campaign can provide some answers too?

This is not a bug. This is a design feature because the real life Archer actually has the gun facing the rear. This allows the Archer to be perfect for an ambush, fire at the enemy and then drive away at full speed without the need to turn around.

Has to happen eventually, but "After 12 years, support for Windows XP ended April 8, 2014" -- sheesh, that's nigh on 6 years past EOL.
Time for an update to something more recent, like Windows 7. That EOL is only Jan 14, 2020.  Loads of time...

The G41's magazine doesn't appear. It seems to reflect the same problem the SVT has in Red Thunder, and it's even more jarring since the G41's magazine isn't even supposed to be detachable.

If there are say five variations of a uniform, each a different color, Black, Red, Pink, Green, Orange, and you wanted all uniforms to be Orange, you'd make four copies of the Orange uniform and give them the names of the Red, Black, Pink, Green files.
EX: You really like tropical uniform 2
    smod_german_lw_para-tropical_soldier_uniform 2
you make four copies and make one "smod_german_lw_para-tropical_soldier_uniform"  "smod_german_lw_para-tropical_soldier_uniform 3" 4, then 5.

There are five variations in the mod you down loaded. Now lets say you found another mod and liked that one just as much. You could rename those files and add them to the one you are using. Ez's FJ unis end at #5 so you'd rename the new mod sequentially "smod_german_lw_para-tropical_soldier_uniform 6"  "smod_german_lw_para-tropical_soldier_uniform 7"   "smod_german_lw_para-tropical_soldier_uniform 8"  without the quotes of course. Then you can use all of them from both mods.

One thing to always keep in mind is the numbering, some files don't use the number 1, like the para unis they start at "smod_german_lw_para-tropical_soldier_uniform" then jump to "smod_german_lw_para-tropical_soldier_uniform 2". There's no hard and fast rule so just pay attention to the files you dl and you'll start to catch on. If you are on Windows I highly recommend exploding the brz files and exploring them some time down the road. You'll learn a lot from them.

You don't need a Z before any of your folders. I explained what the Z Z Z folder was for in my post above.

When Combat Mission is started the game will load ANY graphics/sounds etc. that are in your mod folder to temporarily overwrite the original game files. It will always do this as long as there are files in the mods folder to use. The highest letter of the alphabet always takes precedence in the loading order. So, if you have TWO mods and they are in folders named "Panther A" and "Camo Panther A" the one titled " Camo Panther A" will always be chosen over the other because C comes after A in the alphabet.

What? Install folder? As in the folder you extracted the game installer to?
I set my installs to all go into a Battlefront folder in My Documents to keep them all the same (may be different for other people). Anyway your mods need to be in the MODS FOLDER regardless of where your game is installed under USER DATA. Something to this effect, CMFI/USER DATA/MODS.

yeah, ultimately i have to agree, if your going to call out and remove something due to its harsh realities ,then, really the whole of ww2 was brutal..and the game is in denial.

I really like the mods the community has put out these past few years, but I have to admit I think Aristoteles' are the gold standard. I don't think he's been active in a long while, and so far as I know he didn't get around to Gustav Line. His skins from BN weren't suitable for the early Italian campaign, but now that RTV has brought the fighting to mid '44 and the close of the war, I was wondering how suitable his BN and FB mods would be, in light of most vehicles being olive drab in Italy from this point on, if nothing else.
Beyond that, what differences in uniforms and vehicle markings would have to be taken account between RTV and BN and FB?

They were considering other nationalities but the module had already grown to massive proportions. New fall, winter and spring foliage, terrains and horizons,. Snow, whitewash for all vehicles, a new region (Germany) and specialized artwork for the Berlin maps, Lend Lease vehicles, late war vehicles, partisans and Volkssturm, multiple uniform swap-outs for the seasons. Plus some vehicles even got alt late war camou schemes. This module is a monster.

yeah it was a excellent addition to CMBB, was a huge game for what it offered. yes i am the same to, i pretty much buy or plan to buy any combat mission title..as i love what they are doing, especially the engine upgrades etc. any other game and you'd be getting the usual abandoned game issues trying to get it running etc. and i do find its still a unique game. and never get tired of playing or making scenarios
