  1. Lol, I’d give you the dollar, and drinks would be on me, Erwin, but you wouldn’t tell me where you were before, so you'll have to settle for another upvote!
  2. I neither have the time nor the desire to watch the whole hour, at least not for a few days. Could you at least tell us the time stamp of the big reveal, JK?
  3. Well, somebody give me one so I can get to an even 100 (and I’ll give you a dollar!).
  4. No, experience levels are set by the scenario designer. You can go into the editor to change that before you play, but experience and other “soft factors” only really degrade during a scenario, never the other way around. Some units may gain during a campaign, but that would be up to the designer as each scenario is made. Also, be aware there is also a bug that is being fixed (were waiting for the patch) that causes troops under heavy fire to bug out of otherwise “safe” locations, like in a trench or building and into the open.
  5. WEGO, and split your squads to allow more flexibility and more likely have lower casualties (in many situations). Much of what you are asking, Mousie, you will just pick up over time. Playing against a human—when you’re ready for that step— is where you will really learn the ropes. Nothing like a real, thinking human to throw off all your well-laid plans!
  6. Michael is right on the money as far as I’m concerned, Mousie. The only time I don’t split squads is when moving up the the line of departure and out of LOS/LOF of the enemy. Also, as for when to retreat or bug out, when playing against a human opponent at least, my rule of thumb is that when I think it’s time to skedaddle, it’s already too late. I’ve learned to start retrograde movement several turns before I was thinking to do so as the enemy presses in and it “seems” they are about to get an edge. In other words, it’s just sense I get probably just from playing the game for so long. And from getting into situations where I’m getting my butt kicked, lol! I played in a lot of campaigns run by the guys at “The Few Good Men”, and almost always as the Germans, so I was retreating a lot!
  7. So, anyone know how many angels can dance on the head of a pin?
  8. Derkommissar, lol, I have actually done that when I’m bored, but assigning the different pro/antagonists to all the Pythons, and for some odd reason, Sgt Hatred, you get Christopher Walkens’ voice!
  9. Ya Baby! Nothing like some hot brain-in-a-jar action!
  10. I think you’re correct, Ken. That dude in the white smock appears rather well endowed, but regardless, peeing on one of your wounded buddies is simply not done!
  11. Yes, we hates it, yes we do. It steals our Precious, yes it does.
  12. Looks like the “other” General Discussion site has been hacked?!? PS: I don’t know oriental characters...maybe Korean, or Japanese, or....
  13. Lol, that pretty much sums up in a nutshell why I play CMx2 games in the first place!
  14. Lol, Erwin, good one! And yes, game afterwards, of course!
  15. Holy crap! I’m getting it tonight!
  16. Great job, Julian. I’m glad you managed to figure it out. Another modder to watch!
  17. Oh yeah, I’d throw in a $100 easy for a CM:A redo!
  18. Well, I for one agree with many of the same points weapon2010 agrees with regarding weapon2010’s points, but I also agree with some of weapon2010’s points that weapon2010 doesn’t agree with. Then again, I don’t necessarily agree with the above point.
  19. Maybe, but I would much prefer he revisit DBP, you Fanboi, you! (I know I’m not our old friend Broadsword, but I do recall pulling off a pretty good ambush on you back in the days of your Hamel Vallee days...)
  20. It doubled to 16 terrain objectives, IIRC. I believe it was in v.4, but might have been v.3. AI groups doubled to 16 at the same time.
  21. You didn’t make the right decision. ...joking! They look great!
