  1. Interesting article... http://tankarchives.blogspot.com.ar/2018/04/heavy-tank-from-pennsylvania.html#more
  2. Agreed! There are no other touchstones to go by, anyway.
  3. On whining and complaining, it seems Mark Rylance's character in Bridge of Spies has the best comment: "Would it help?"
  4. Didn't know there was anything to fix, but yes, I guess, cuz I don't have any problems with that (using v. 4.0). It will take 3-5 turns (IIRC, from my last game, 2.5 minutes of set up time for a water cooled US .30 cal, so 3 minutes approximately, although it seems like there is a random element to it that might take it a bit longer,
  5. Sounds like 3j2m7 is looking at the enemy and seeing only some of, say, a squad. Which reflects what your men can see, and a bit of the fog of war, of course. Can't imagine what else he's seeing.
  6. I'm with the Sarge. I didn't think It was too great either. At least not as great as all the hype when I first heard about it (about 15 years ago). Watched it again about 3 years ago, still "meh".
  7. I want them rested so they can move quicker, longer when they get into combat. I use FAST and QUICK moves a lot then, especially in urban settings.
  8. ^^^^This. Second time today, Erwin. I'm getting the heebee jeebees, lol!
  9. Several years ago I calculated that it had cost me $0.07/hour to play CMx2 games up to that point (I get every CMx2 package as they are released---plus CM:A). Probably down to about a penny an hour now. Or less.
  10. Besides it only being a platoon(-) that Pitt's Sherman platoon is rescuing, the captured German was wearing a US greatcoat, which pissed some of the GIs off for obvious reasons. And when earlier discussing the rescue plan with the Infantry company commander, both he and Pitt were bemoaning the fact that the Germans just won't quit when they know they've lost. I'd have been a little unhappy, too.
  11. Oh God, patchouli...couldn't walk into a Head Shop back in the day without smelling that crap!
  12. Hey good buddy, Merry Christmas to you too and all the CM lovers here and everywhere! I'd congratulate you on your hilarious rendition of "'Twas the Night Before Christmas", but I thought we collectively chained you to your computer to hurry up and finish your FB mod?!?!
  13. I'd make a joke about God's wrath or something, Steve, but those wildfires are dead serious. I hope all of our CM friends from CA are and will remain safe.
  14. Lol, I wish I had a nickel for every time I said that!
  15. Well, there's your problem. CM games depict extreme gun violence and have obviously been banned in the Democratic Peoples Republic of California. Better move to flyover country. But seriously, I've never seen that before, and the site is up as sburke noted.
  16. I was 10 at the time and remember having the understanding that she was involved in some sort of scandal involving a perfume company. What a beauty, but boy did the press and people in general do a number on her. RIP, Ms. Keeler.
  17. Mord, glad you're back into the modding groove! Jason Pipes' site that Aragon is a great starting point. Also, how about using the more common "Fj" or "FJ" as the abbreviation for Fallschirmjager?
  18. You guys are just jealous 'cause I nailed it for him! And btw, good thing Bethune wasn't Mexican, or the Texan would 'ave chucked 'im out! (One of my favorite movies from that era. That bit by Brian Glover was classic. And then there was Jennifer Agutter....)
  19. Erwin, do you have People's Wargames' "Korsun Pocket"?
