It's a rare occasion that we are in total agreement.

Do you want me to host/co-host your mods in my "goodybox"...? Of course in folders with your name in bright neon flashing lights!
To have it all in 1 place is good I think...
3 CMRT Finn Mod scenarios are in progress...
    "Reimo's Sotka"
    "The Old Graveyard"
    "Fire Control Center"

Quicker than reloading the M16.....He must be a FPS player in his spare time!

I found an interesting work around.....If you split off a two man scout team from each of your initial six infantry squads, you can put two men from each platoon into each BRDM.  When they are in the vehicle they have radio C2 with their parent platoons, meaning both infantry platoons get contacts direct, rather than through Co. HQ.
However my enjoyment of the scenario was rather spoiled when all the reinforcing units arrived in a single big blob, nothing even resembling a formation, and then a T-62 took a hit immediately after arrival.

    AOA 1
My tanks can offer a lot of HE support and suppression.  I will pepper the buildings ahead with HE and charge! This time, the tank riders will be going in on the tanks but not under fire.
The JS-IIs advance and stop to provide support fire while the Company and Regiment HQ T34s both load up an infantry squad each. The inset shows the action at the map edge to the left.

     RU148
As the men board the tanks, sporadic enemy rifle and HMG fire hits the front of the tanks. The Company HQ T34 fires at the spotted HMG. A Marder is also detected but none of the Russian tanks have LOS.

     RU149
One JS-II advances, maneuvering to get LOS on the Marder. The German vehicle gets the first shot, which bounces off the thick armour.

     RU150
The JS-II spots its attacker and returns fire but misses. Smoke and dust break then LOS for both from one another.

     RU151
The spotted HMG and infantry contacts come under fire as well. The enemy is no longer putting out any fire at all at the advancing armour and infantry. One HMG unit takes heavy casualties and breaks.

     RU152
The infantry in the house behind moves out behind it, not willing to take direct fire any longer.

     RU153
There is no question I’m pushing him back and disrupting his defences. I have a big open field in front of me that I need to cross but once that’s done I’m actually in the town - the objective itself.
What’s going in at AoA2 is in the upcoming post.

Now I've seen everything. Plt. commander has a M16 but he transitioned to his pistol and shot down the Soviet crewman with it at close range.

Missed this very wise comment.....Me too!
I guess it falls under the broader bracket of 'artillery that we can control' as the Retreat movement option can be used to deploy smoke for other units (although in a rather all or nothing way with big AI Groups).

Like the SU 76? It was used also as an indirect fire weapon if I am correct.

At this point, I wouldn't pay too much attention to @semmes. He has an agenda that he isn't going to budge from, based on how he's responded in recent discussions here.

Just being able to stack 'Target Briefly' commands (without movement) would get us close, you could engage four tiles in a turn.

@Suchy This site might be of interest too (if you haven't found it already), it has details of almost all of the StuGs provided to Finland:

I'm a huge fan of 'Sturmis' and this mod.

Congrats to BFC!  I hope you sell a gazillion copies.
And more importantly I hope this frees up bandwidth for the development team to make all the things we want, like BS modules, CW modules, Ost Front 43/42/41, etc.  And to have them all done by Xmas, this year.  Thanks in advance

    Have to agree with @ncc1701e
Mitigating the TacAI's suicidal urges can be a major part of one's effort when designing an AI attack.....More AI groups, movement options, artillery options etc. etc. would all help.
We all know the situation when we give what seems like a perfectly sensible order and our pixeltruppen interpret it in their own unique way and get themselves slaughtered.
Now imagine trying to give all those orders blind and in advance!

So many things I would like to see. So many things that was said in this thread and other threads.
More AI programming, more AI artillery commands, more AI groups, triggers for reinforcements ... I agree
Ability to split squads in vehicule... I agree
Ability to unacquire ammos or weapons... I agree
But, the most important to me, is to teach the TacAi that when it is done, it is done.
When your pixeltruppen enter in a kill zone, avoid it. Find another way. I know this is not a human player. But, as soon as bullets are coming to you, run, avoid them, don't do like a terminator, you are not a terminator.
And don't continue to try using the same way, it is done. It is done!

And now, due to another wave of family and work duties, a few days break in modding. I'm still going to prepare T70 (as Finnish T26 and Vickers) and BA64 (3D model swapped from SdKfz 221, as Finnish BA20). Well maybe still Panzer IIIG (swapped 3D model with Stuart V) as Finnish T-50 and IS-1 as captured Finnish KW1. Both made mods I will make available in Dropbox. A few scenarios using this equipment would be useful...
