  1. I believe we were told that CM:BS would be the next game to receive some attention.....Personally, I can't wait.
  2. Interestingly, at about 34:00 when the documentary starts waffling (it does that quite a bit) about the Stinger, it appears to show the Mujahideen using what looks like a Milan ATGM...I'd heard these were supplied to the Mujahideen, but I don't recall ever seeing one before. PS - Interesting vehicle at 42:15, looks like some sort of T-55 based combat engineer vehicle with what may be a ZU-23-2 on the deck.
  3. Dude, it's Discovery Channel, so I reckon we are on safe ground:
  4. Yes.....It's superbly done, challenging too if you stick to strict C2, which you should. PS - @MOS:96B2P put a lot of thought & effort into this scenario, it's a technical tour de force.....If you play the 'Historical' option, it's a pretty reasonable model of an ad-hoc German 'fire-brigade' type unit rushing to react to yet another Soviet breakthrough attempt.
  5. From a game perspective that still feels like 'overpowered'.....It doesn't stop me playing CM:BS and it's made me be a lot more careful with AFVs in general, so it's not all bad.
  6. Thanks @Bootie hopefully someone will get some entertainment from them.
  7. I'm going the other way, watched that one first as I was hoping to find an interesting looking M46 that didn't have a tiger face painted on it (I'm making a series of US Pattons at war models in 1/72, M46 in Korea, M48A3 in Vietnam and M60A3 'Blazer' in Operation Desert Storm).
  8. Yeah, I couldn't find any indication that 280mm penetration was going to do the job either.
  9. Former British Empire was up for grabs & accessible, former Russian Empire, less so.
  10. I posted a link to it in the other thread.....I rather enjoyed it. As for making this in CM:A.....It seems doable to me, but you knew that already.
  11. This one seems moderately bonkers too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48d0afTREbA Apparently YouTube won't let me embed it.
  12. @benpark Is there a tool that you use to make campaign flowcharts? Preferably one I can get for free.
  13. The War Thunder post is actually based on an article from Tankograd (who are generally very reliable): https://thesovietarmourblog.blogspot.com/2018/02/pt-76.html#d-56t "Based on the semi-empirical shaped charge penetration by Walters and Zukas, a standoff distance of 2.66 yields a penetration of 5.0 calibers or more when a precision-made copper shaped charge liner is used on 320 BHN armour steel. With a shaped charge liner diameter of 62.3mm, this implies that BK-354M should be able to penetrate 311mm of RHA steel or more. However, because the spitback mechanism in the GPV-2 fuze introduces an additional delay compared to more modern piezoelectric fuzing systems, the nose of the shell to experiences some deformation during an impact with a hard target causing the standoff distance to decrease slightly. Furthermore, the design of the shaped charge itself with its long spitback receptacle at the apex of the shaped charge liner is not optimal. As such, the penetration power achieved with BK-354M was less than 311mm RHA. " PS - @Rice If JK does publish those documents, I trust you'll be man enough to make a public apology?
  14. If it has BMD-2s it could only be done with CM:A at present. PS - At an initial glance CM:A definitely seems the way forward.
  15. Dude.....When? This looks so cool.....You saved me a bunch of work too! PS - @37mm Thought I'd draw your attention to the building textures a few posts above.
  16. If it was me I'd see the StuG and immediately think "This is CM.....So where are his Panthers?".
  17. It's pretty accurate too.....I walk my dogs round there!
  18. Not directly.....The extras vanish. However you can get them pretty close to each other, placing a ring of them around a wreck should still look quite effective. Many moons ago I started laing out the groundwork for a 21Pz.Div. in Normandy campaign concept (loosely based on the Too Fat Lardies tabletop campaign).....Reckon I might give it another look, with a comprehensive mod set like these making the maps should be fun.
