When combining a "three action-square" unit, it's always best to reduce them to the smallest elements and run them together into a single square.
If you combine a one-square element with a two square element, you risk choosing the wrong square, so to speak.
Think of it as the leader getting everyone in close for a pep talk.

On CMSF2 patch installation:
Double-check your installation folder as you run it. If you're not careful, CMSF2 patches try to create an extra game folder inside the main game folder (so that you wind up with "C:\[wherever]\Battlefront\Combat Mission Shock Force 2\Combat Mission Shock Force 2" and the game will not find the new data there.
The other games' patches don't do this.

Something to be aware of:
If you manually chose the install location and you pick the "C:\[whatever]\Battlefront\Combat Mission Shock Force 2" folder (as you should), the installer will put the new files in a second internal folder (which will be "C:\[whatever]\Battlefront\Combat Mission Shock Force 2\Combat Mission Shock Force 2"), so the game won't see them. Be sure to double-check your destination folder when installing.
The other installers from today don't do this.

This was the whole point of a common engine:  all the titles/theaters could be kept up to date in parallel.

In the old days, CMBB basically made CMBO obsolete.

Thanks for posting this. A bunch of us have just discovered it, as well.
If you've already installed it, you can copy the files from the nested patch location (the second "Combat Mission Shock Force 2" folder) and move them into the same folder in the original CMSF2 location. Don't copy/move the folders: just the files inside the folders. After all the files are moved from the nested CMSF2 folder into their correct location, you can delete the nested CMSF2 folder.
(Or, just delete the nested CMSF2 that was installed with the patch, and redo the patch, this time dropping the "Combat Mission Shock Force 2" from the installer location.)

It's a map element problem, so the only solution is to remake the scenario using fixed buildings. BTS can't program squads to see doors where they don't currently exist on the map.
If the affected scenario is an official BTS-provided one, it should of course be fixed and officially re-released.  User-made scenarios, however, can only be fixed by the creator (or an imitator).

In short, this looks like just another more example of the difficulty of separating rumours and misinformation in a subject as sensitive as the coronavirus. Many take advantage of the traditional opacity of the Chinese authorities to multiply the most gruesome speculations.
The World Health Organization itself or the major social networks and Internet platforms have created special pages to try to stop false rumours about COVID-19.

It's typically easier to design a scenario with the AI on defense, and I think we'll see plenty of Russian attacks in this module.

I think I remember hearing that there's also a random element to weapon pick-up.
Maybe you just prefer your rifle to the sergeant's SMG, but maybe you also don't want it because it's smeared over with sarge's guts.

The dual folder is just a default.nif you set the in and out folders to be the same and WTII will work just fine. And you can override the single folder setting in CMH too and have it work my way.
