    Ive added two additional units to CMBS. The 143D ESC is a support unit I served with. Can't fight the good fight without a support element.

    I would day the use of JSOC. Proper room clearing mechanics. No just running into the building and hoping you spot the enemy first. I created a mod for Foregrips, but I would like to see them come with the game themselves. maybe being able to use a Blackhawk to bring in more troops. or maybe have it pop up to. drop off troops and then disappear again.

    0% Vehicles can get replaced but im very careful with my infantry and air assets

    Well I figured out how to swap the infantry models from CMBS to SF2 however the uniforms come out terrible. Even after renaming them. So I figured maybe it’s a bitmapping issue

    Exactly right. I made this comment during CW testing as it was not the way we carried our weapons then - it's a more modern change. But it wasn't practical in the time frame until release to make that change. Maybe in a patch? That would be nice.

    so sometime ago I started working on adding more infantry units to the battle. it took me a while to figure it out because I never knew how to use gimp. So far I've added the 10TH Mountain Division. I've worked on combat shirts, belts, updated Camelback, black gloves, rhino mount (still trying to figure out UV Mapping to turn it black) new boots, IR strobes on the back of the ACH, Rolled Sleeves, and combat patches. ill post the drop box link and you guys let me know what you think. honest feedback please.
     
    If you like it let me know what other units i should add and i will add them

    I could possibly look in the 3d model that I have, you should give me the model in photos so that I can watch If I have on my hd, I have no idea about the helmet that you describe I am rather for the period ww2 but this will be a pleasure to help.
    but you must know one thing, it is that it is difficult to import 3 d models coming from the outside and not included in the existing modules of CM, for the moment I have not yet been able to import a model from the outside but only modify existing models in current CM games, when I could, the Merkava, Btr152... will be already on the way...
    for this part of job I propose to contact @Frenchy56 seem that he has a lot of expericence with weapons, just saying...

    0% is what i personally would like to achieve. i know it wont happen every time. but i try to find alternative ways to beat each scenario. Even if ive played it a million times

    @Frenchy56 here's the guide that I used. as far as getting to the weapons and equipment files. Al you have to do is place all the BRZ files in Rezexplode. Explode the files and you'll be able to open them in Blender.

    I feel what you're saying but tracers with every shot just didn't seem all that cool to me and since the AI isn't really all that accurate, I felt it was annoying actually seeing how inaccurate they were. the occasional tracer is okay but seeing nothing but tracers got annoying to me. I wish it did kick up more debris though.

    Hello,
    I had pretty much given up on CM back in 2016 for various reasons and mostly lost interest in anything CM related as well. The announcment of CMSF2 has brought me back somewhat and, coincidentally, I am currently learning a new programming language. So I decided to write a little application I had wanted to write even way back then, which can extract scenarios from campaign files so you can look at them in the editor or edit them. Mad Mike's ScAnCaDe is a great tool for parsing scenario files, extracting campaigns and visualizing scenario and campaign metadata. However, it does not work with the 'legacy' CM games Shock Force 1 and Afghanistan. Also, who knows if Mad Mike is still around to update it anymore for future versions. He did a great job deciphering the various campaign file formats that have existed throughout CM's lifetime and much of what I did is based on his groundwork (which involves a lot of staring at hundreds of rows of bytecode and figuring out which bytes stand for which variables), so credit where credit is due. And while according to the devs you should be able to play any old campaign in CMSF2 out of the box, now you can also extract the scenario files from these campaigns and update them to the new engine standards, even if the original creators are now longer around.
    I decided to focus on the extraction part and didn't bother with any of the metadata listing and visualizing. The tool should be able to extract any campaign file from any CM game so far and should also work with CMSF2 once it's released. I originally wanted to extract every bit of information required to also recompile the campaign from the extracted data without any further input, but that proved to be more difficult than I anticipated because some of that information is compressed or decrypted within the campaign files and I have not found a way yet how to extract that. This includes the campaign victory/loss texts and the complete core units and campaign briefing data. Maybe I will manage to add this at a later point. For now the scenario extraction works really well however, but I need some feedback from others. I don't have any CM games installed currently besides Shock Force and thus have only been able to  thorougly test the CMSF stock campaign as well as many campaigns downloaded from the Scenario Depot. So if anyone finds a campaign that does not work, make sure to post or send me the error log file that should be created. Usage of the application is as simple as it can be, just put the .exe file in a directory that contains any number of campaign files and start the executable.

    I know the website still has its flaws right now because its fresh, but it looks great and I am really excited to get ahold of CMSF2. the screenshots looks really good and I've always been a HUGE combat mission fan. Thanks for the hours of enjoyment you all provide us gamers.
