Slowly circling over soviet troops in a cargo plane would be a real short flight.

I would love to see Soviet T tanks engage helicopters with their ATGMs as was designed to do so.

IMHO the most significant feature of the T-80B compared to the 72 is the more advanced fire control system.

"Unlike the rather outdated 1A40-1 fire control system used in the T-72B, the 1G43 features fully automatic lead calculation and automatic gun superelevation. What this means is that the aiming chevron at the center of the sight picture remains static as the FCS adjusts the elevation to account for ballistic drop and adjusts the orientation of the turret to account for lead. The sight is not displaced sideways as the gun is adjusted for lead, thanks to the 2-axis stabilizer in the 1G42 - the horizontal stabilizer rotates the sight aperture to compensate for the shifted orientation of the turret, thus allowing the gunner to maintain an unchanged view of the target."

Nobody forces you to use steam. If you pre-order you will get the usual serial code.

Great documentary of the 93rd mech brigade in 2 parts (3rd is comming). And the battles it was engaged in. 2014-2016 it lost 138 KIA, and over 1000 WIA. English voice, and subs

for me Fire and Rubble is my biggest surprise! I mostly interested in the eastern Front! Because there was the real World war 2 going on! The Americans? Yeah Normandy and battle of the bulge/Ardennes were the only real slaughters they were confronted with! So,... I am not so interested in Western Front! The only one thats would be interesting would be Pacific theatre!

What would be nice is a CM game in cold war settings. No Javelins, airburst munitions, thermal imaging and UAVs

    Hi,

Long time Battlefront customer here from Italy (actually I've been living in England since 2005).

    How about the "Southern Front?"

Hope there'll be a module covering that too.

Anyway, that's me in the picture (right): I served in the Italian Armored Cavalry as a tank gunner on a Leopard 1A2 in 1981-82.
9º Gruppo squadroni carri "Lancieri di Firenze", "Folgore" Mechanised Division, "Vittorio Veneto" Armored Brigade, Vth Army Corps.

The other two chaps in the picture are the driver (left) and loader. 😊

Not sure, but I recall that has been stated. Why else does every base game start with US units?

Bufo reacted to Bil Hardenberger in A Word on Follow-on Modules
I know everybody is excited and would like to know what is next after the Base Game... believe me we are all excited too!
As far as follow-on modules go.. yes several are planned, but what they are specifically we will keep to ourselves until after the game is released.  For now the focus must stay on the base-game for us, but feel free to conjecture and dream, I enjoy those threads, but we won't be confirming or denying anything until after this one is on the street.
Just so you guys know that we aren't ignoring you in those discussions, we are trying to stay focused and not get sidetracked so we can deliver this thing in time.
    Cheers, Bil

Yo Battlefront is wildin out. This is surreal. This game is going to be way crazier than all the hype for SF2

    btw what does this mean?:
"Expansive maps with 1m x 1m resolution allow for short and long range action across complex terrain"
Is this just within the normal 8x8m action square? For pixeltruppen activities, flavor objects n stuff?

Lol... That "turban" engine: is it the mid-east export version?
T64s, T80s, oh, my. A very different matchup for the US when they're fielding M60s. This is not your CMSF shootout.

And, gotta say, the vcr intro is great. I'd forgotten the whirling sounds they'd make. (Be kind, and rewind.)
    Great video!
