use to be some website years back where you could add so many affects to any picture or document you uploaded, can't recall the name but sadly it had to shut down. was so so easy to do, i did some paper work documenting a u boat campaign i was playing once, it was so easy, just up load any picture and insert and place, boom...with all the cool affects etc you'd want..

Front to front engagements are to be avoided at all cost. Even King Tigers encountering T34/76. If you do it you go for attrition not for maneuver. The purpose of thick armor is that the crew survives an engagement. Gog Magog is the mission which makes this clear. you can blast away at the Soviet tanks and a lot will brew up. All their shells bounce off. Later you face ISII, now you must fight without radio and optics. Use the game of chess as an analogy by exchanging chessmen you may win a game, by checkmate the King you will win the game by maneuver. CM is the same, maneuver to the objective and you win. Maneuvering is to use your infantry, infantry spots armor, armor doesn't spot infantry. Now use your C2 structure so that your Panthers get the contact icon of the infantry. Now they get the first shot in preferably from the side or the rear. Use infantry first! Spotted by the infantry, contact icon will be transferred to my armor upon contact the odds favor the armor which has the contact icon. You will see the SS will now have 20/20 vision.

IS-2s are brutes and Panthers don't spot well buttoned up. That's a tough combination.

We're working on it - problem is Mikey lost most of his templates during a harddrive crash and everything afterwards was simply cobbled together as fast as possible to get you guys finished textures.

Meaning: It'll take some time, but I think we can give you what you want - just bear with us.

BFC,..would it be possible to upload yellow plain camo German vehicles so that we modders could add camos to them? Hetzer, Nashorn, etc ...come to my mind but sure there are many more,...At the moment weathering is possible, but it's impossible to me with my actual skills to remove the stock camos and create new ones,...

It's all the same engine, so it shouldn't feel any more or less laggy and crappy? Same low performance, flickering shadows and graphical glitches.

"The Battle of the Bulge saw intensive use of German armored rocket launchers. The most concentrated, massed salvos were used in the Ardennes region of Belgium in 1944 during the weeks of the German offensive."

Buffalo LVT in UK service with the 20mm Polsten cannon replacing the .50 would be nice.  Also how about the DUKW.

First and mainly: LVT Buffalo for Rhine crossing.
Then, late war CW stuff and forces, Pershing and some very late war german toys (for example Jadgtiger Porsche).
P.D. Has BF announced anything on this matter (FB module)?

Steve said that engine 5.x will be about modern hardware. Which you could assume means multithreading.
However, 6 cores (like in the i5 discussed here) will still be fine. Most threaded games use 4 cores or less. An 8-core probably won't run CMx2 5.x any faster than the 6-core.

Tarjan. The German campaign will be on the tough side - it's 1945, after all - but hopefully it will enjoyable to fight through these actions. General advice- Don't spread your forces- there won't be enough for wide offensives, in the main. Choose your routes to focus your attacking power on discrete objectives, and use the small farms and villages as your defensive positions, where available. On the positive side (somewhat), you will be breaking out of the woods soon enough to the plains to the west of Budapest- tank country.
I do have two alternate versions of the longer campaigns with extra time added ready to go - which is directed at people that prefer to play campaigns once, at a slower pace - I just need a place to upload 'em. It's 20+ minutes added to some, more to others, variable time added where appropriate (I always try to err on the side of more variety).
The AI is designed with this adaptation largely in mind. These campaigns are made to be replayed, with as much variation in AI plans as possible. Also note that replays should not always yield the same results, AT guns may be in other positions, etc.
The AI is the thing we want people fighting - not the time, in the main. Time is part of it, but only part. The AI will pull off some surprises on its own, now.
