Its a tough campaign made worse by the fact I played it years ago, stopped playing but saved the files so I could resume at a later time. My system had issues so I had to rebuild it and I thought I had the saved campaign files back up only to discover they weren't so I had to start from the beginning a couple of months ago.
I find that if you're infantrymen or sniper gets that lucky hit on the well placed MG or SMG toting hiding and shooting from a building, things can go easier, but if not then it can be frustrating. Killing Tigers while not easy is not as difficult as one might expect either.

If you have the CMFB module, you have it.
Did I ever say I like the Jagdpanther 😉?  I agree with what you say though, particularly the gun damage.
Just by way of balance I have a Tiger Ausf B in a PBEM which just took a frontal hit from an ISU122 at less than 50m.  Bounced off.  The return shot from my KT penetrated the ISU.  No-one got out 💀.  You win some you lose some.

Thank you @JM Stuff and Bootie 😊
yes, these mods will follow the others made for FI and RT already present on CMMOD 4  (I am submitting the final and improved versions to Bootie compared to those posted on the forums). I still have to do 1 or 2 more German armored vehicles, and improvements before delivering the file to Bootie, towards the end of the month.
New version of Marder II winter snowy and white (from BF.c txtures, 4 versions work on FI and RT)

Mortarmen make decent infantry and their smoke grenade capability comes handy. Nobody plays CM realistically in my experience. Crewmen from destroyed or immobilized vehicles as well as drivers from vehicles that have served their useful purpose are conscripted into the fight as infantry or scouts. I mentioned years ago about the pistol packing crewmen who were crack shots and feel like their wielding Glocks. Don't know if that's been remedied in updates.
Jeeps and other unarmed vehicles are shamelessly used as expendable scouts.
Just as well horses and dogs are not modeled in CM as they too would be shamelessly used as expendables. Its a good thing that surrendered troops captured just vanish as I have little doubt that they too would be herded into unsavory tasks...
CM players are a hard bunch...

I just wanted to say that I am absolutely loving the new German campaign of the DLC (playing on hard). I think it is one of the most difficult campaigns I have ever played.
I had to replay nearly each and every mission several times once I managed to beat them. The Americans are just so much better equipped, trained than the Germans. Not to mention the fact of their sheer numerical superiority. The Germans are inferior to the Americans in every aspect at this stage of the war.
During my CM carreer I always wanted to avoid save scumming and just roll with the punches but this campaign forced me to relad time after time. Losing a critical asset due to the inexperienced crew failing at the spotting lottery or getting an entire squad obliterated by heavy artillery would have meant that I either restart the whole map or reload a previous save. I chose the latter.
All in all, great scnenarios, my only gripe is that they are a biz puzzle-like and you cannot really complete them "blind", as there is just no way that you can afford the luxury of a Pershing popping out from nowhere and decimating your whole force.
Another thing that I have learned was that TDs are practically useless. The Jagdpanther should be a formidable opponent when on the defensive. Not in this game though. On the one hand TDs have spotting issues (see my other topic) and the due to the fact that tanks always shoot at the enemy's center mass, which happens to be gun mantlet/barrel of a TD. This meant that although the JP was able to withstand 1 or 2 rounds from the shermans but I ALWAYS ended up with a broken gun.
I would have much preferred to have simple PZ IVs with veteran crews at my disposal instead of these semi-useless TDs (rotatable turrets and ample MG ammo are a blessing that I have so far failed to recognize) .
    But oh well.

I didn't do German at school but I think the label reads. "Don't be a plonker. Always read the manual before using whilst playing Combat Mission." Okeh, so I'm paraphrasing just a tad.

Are only as idiotic as the person giving them orders.

I'm not sure I'm following this fully, but even the late war biggest PFs only had 100m range (the early ones much less).  So they won't fire at a range of 120m.  Rifles might be firing if for example the tank is unbuttoned and Tank Commander is presenting a target?
    Forgive me if I'm misunderstanding...
A picture would help.  I use Nvidia screen capture, put it on Imgur and then post the direct link here.  A bit of an exercise but worth it.  Others do it differently.

I understand @AdamPraha ordered movement from point A on the road to point B on another part of the road usi, with some road turns in between, using only one movement order. Definitively doesnt work in CM...
    But that's only my guess...

Micro-management is part and parcel of the game. Just playing the demo for Red Thunder tells you that. It is a bit difficult to understand why what happens in the Seelow Heights battle would come as a surprise. It's a struggle moving a large force of tanks across a flood plain with few roads. But, that is what the Red Army had to do.

My experience of empty roads is that if your movement orders allow time between vehicles such that they don't bunch up, and are also short enough to follow the road turn by turn, then you can get it work.  If one vehicle gets held up, it might go off road or cause others to go off road.
Micro-management - yes.  Part of the game - yes.  Has BFC tried to introduce 'convoy orders' before - yes. Did they work flawlessly - no.  Is it being looked at again - yes.
    Did I mention I quite like micro-management 😉?

All valid questions. If vehicles "unfailingly" do stupid things i.e. constantly, would any of us get past a demo, without deciding this game isn't for us?

Got any pics, showing paths if possible?  Why does the AI take them off road?  Obstacles like wrecks in the way, or something else?
I assume by lose you mean they drive off into mud and get stuck, or perhaps into LOS/LOF of the enemy?

Ah Loch Lomond.  There's a great road along the west side (from memory, maybe @George MC can confirm) which we used to take on motorcycle camping trips quite a few years ago.  Beautiful place, although the scenery was probably not top priority for us at the time.  Might go back on my current bike (a KTM 890 Duke R with excellent modern technology ❤️).
    Okay, I'm OT again...

What follows will be my own befuddled musings on the Claymores Through Kleve campaign as I go along. Other forumites are welcome to share their own experiences.
First up you'll find that it is as much a mudbath, as bloodbath. And, of course that is an accurate reflection of how it was back in 1945. So if you want sunny days, with bone dry ground and long sight lines this wont be for you.
Just as a way of illustrating the murk ...

If you listen carefully these Jocks are saying, "If that Sassenach Bastard wants us tae pose fer pictures, we want more drams, now!""
