  1. Well he did call me a fanboy (post after the whambulance, I like that spelling better). I am sure given time he will get around to you too.
  2. Yeah it sums things up neatly in a simple phrase without wasting to much effort pointing out the specific failings of logic or civility. Saves a lot of time and get the point a cross. Exactly, I admit sometimes people's antics can get me upset even though I try and not get bent out of shape. My goal is to be helpful to people looking for information. I think it speaks volumes that you are attacking guys like @womble who is one of the most helpful and least up your nose guys around here. Sure @sburke and I can snark back every now and then so you can argue that we "deserve it" (I think the argument is a failing one but you can make it). Anyway the best thing for me is to just ignore it and this new forum nicely hides meanness. Then I will not be tempted to call you on it and get you all upset an whinny. I will strive to be more like @womble since I think his posting style is among the best, most useful and that is something to strive for.
  3. Wow you guys have reached an all new low around here. Near constant whining and no valuable input. I think my ignore list will be growing soon. It is official I'm calling you a
  4. Are you saying you tried it in game and APS worked on it? It was / is my understanding that the Trophy system can handle top attack missiles but I have not tried a blue on blue test to check.
  5. Just one heads up - cause I spent a long time before I finally figured this out - if you start the scenario in test mode while you are in the player controlled setup phase the AI units will *not* be in the start locations that the AI plan will use they will be in the default deployed locations. You have to hit the BRB to see where the AI will start them off.
  6. Spot on Kieme(ITA) I feel the same. Sorry Lacroix I don't think you will ever see numbers like that. I put all the die roll, save throw and look up table stuff right out of my head when I play this game. And that all by itself is just glorious. Just the way I always wanted to play wargames.
  7. Oh yes - my M1s have lost a few guns. That list can get quite long for the modern game and some stuff falls of the end of the list. The list is sorted based on damage so once something becomes NS it will jump to the top. So, it is a good thing the main gun is not visible in your list
  8. A couple of other discussions about this: http://community.battlefront.com/topic/119188-must-have-mods/ http://community.battlefront.com/topic/114645-just-bought-the-game-need-some-nice-mods/ To find those I had to use google because the forum search will only search using words four characters or longer.
  9. The tool allows you to record the number form the AAR screen. I think that means the yellow based wounded but still fighting are not counted. Someone correct me if I have that wrong. I think this is possibly a significant factor too. My numbers from 33 games are around 3.1 to 2 in KIA to WIA (both sides have very similar ration) so I am seeing similar to IICptMillerII.
  10. He has said as much. What a total waste of space on this forum. Time to add this guy to my ignore list. The criteria for that has nothing to do with agreeing or disagreeing with someone and everything to do with the answer to the question "is reading their posts a waste of time"?. After this I will only have four people on that list and two of them have since been banned.
  11. You can see the discussion of my making the map and screen shots here: http://community.battlefront.com/topic/104496-pathfinder-mission-areal-photos-of-sicily/
  12. I could cut down the map I made for my Pathfinders scenario. It is fairly small but bigger than 500x500. Check it out form my sig. I think a battle around the bridge and nearby farm could work. Edited to add: Ack it is not in my sig - stand by. Edited to add link: http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=314&func=fileinfo&id=2936
  13. Yep. I have a back up copy of everything I bought not just from BFC. Even my back up 1T external drive is way smaller than just two or three of the cd and boxes from the decade before.
  14. Well I did not get around to testing it. The turretless vehicles are probably behaving as coded. Facing controls the tank hull direction, covered arc controls the turret direction. So with a turretless vehicle you will probably see that. But your pics have a vehicle with a turret pointing in unexpected direction. I have not seen that in my play but wanted to try it again before responding here. But totally forgot - to many other things on the go. The electronic warfare thing is a known issue it got pooched in one of the patches.
  15. This gets my vote for winner of best reason why a vehicle is your favourite.
  16. I'm not sure I would use the word hate but it is a pain, agreed for sure. I often end up placing all the objects from one panel in a row and then going into the 3Dpreview. If I only wanted one I just delete the rest. If I wanted more then one I noted which one I wanted and then deleted the others. Then you can go back to the panel and get more of the one I want. Having a reference page is really helpful.
  17. Just to clarify my advice only went so far. It is excellent for finding fords but you have to go one step further and make sure you can actually get to the ford too. I think this was @Chappy's biggest problem. There were lots of fording locations but many of them had impassible marsh terrain or heavy forest on either one side of the river or the other. So, once you have found a ford site check with the move tool to make sure your vehicle can actually make it to the rivers edge - make sure you get no ghost buster symbols when you place your way points to cross. That includes checking back from the river a bit just to be sure.
  18. Thanks I understand now. That is not for support. Follow the link I gave a few posts back and create a ticket. Here is the confusion: that screen is for problems accessing parts of the forums. For some reason you are either not logged in or you don't have permission to see parts of this set of forums. I have no idea which. The forum admin does not make himself available very much, that is his style and I am sure he has lots of other stuff to do. If you need support you need to go to the help desk link. I personally don't like having these self help sub forums because it gives people the impression that they can get official support there. I would consider doing away with them to avoid confusion.
  19. Excellent work. I just finished updating mine. Here are my current battle results. That is for my most recent 30 battles against human opponents. I have the results from 39 other battles in some state of screen shot and notes that I need to port into this fine tool but since I started using this I have been putting every game into it as it ends. There I showed you mine - lets see yours.
  20. OK, it was unfair of me to imply you did not care about game play. However your definition of facts looks a lot like my definition of opinion
  21. Awww now you are taking the fun out of seeing what happens if the count breaks the 100 mark, 1000, 10000?
  22. Interesting. I had a quick look and could not find a place on the forum home page that suggested that - can you point me to it? So I can send them an email to suggest they change it
  23. Wow, no I have not seen this but I also have conducted all my air attacks quite a ways away from my own units. The closest an attack has been to the location of my own men has still been over 500m. How close were your units to the attack area? Just speculating a bit.
