  1. I wonder if the trench coding is at play here. It looks as though the bullet is passing over the trench that is clipped into the structure.
  2. the italicized sentence at the end was meant more so for others as I didn't want to leave things open to "how-to" type questions. the answer to your question is yes.
  3. Throw in a free set of winter tracks and you gotta deal!
  4. Yes, modded art can be loaded into a specific scenario without polluting the vanilla game by using tags. You would probably not want to use that same model of modded Sherman for the US side in that specific scenario, as it too would have the markings. But there are other models to choose from. This is a topic better suited for the maps and modding sub forum as this is going way OT from the OP.
  5. I will feature them in a new scenario called "Smoke on the Water"
  6. That's what they said about vista. Truth is win 10 tries to turn your PC into a tablet. And makes it very difficult to remove PUP's. Win 10 is so pup friendly that add/remove administrator functions do not exist at the same level and options they did for win7. I like to have full control over my computer. Now I must use 3rd party hacks to get around the registry restrictions in Win 10. Might as well go Mac now.
  7. I'm Glad Schwimmwagens aren't in the game. I would be fool enough to use it as a regimental ferry to cross a river... 4 guys at a time. That would kill game immersion and any sense of appreciation for a time based scenario.
  8. Just curious if most people play with these zones on, or if they toggle them off. My self I look at them initially then pretty much alt-j them off for the rest of the scenario.
  9. Nothing wrong with US tank crews wearing German uniforms in German tanks if you are doing a Kelly's heroes scenario.
  10. I would like to know if the AFV 's sighted were rotating in place. Vehicles get penalized when they change their facing, perhaps simulating a plume of exhaust. And we're the infantry in possession of binocs. It's abstract but the numbers crunched would seem reasonable if these vehicles didany sort of movement thus giving up their concealment bonus.
  11. Im sure people will be choosing vehicle variants and dates in quick battles and scenario design based on the period camouflage schemes available, they look that good.
  12. This was one of the more synchronized AAR's yet. Sometimes each side kind of reports on different areas of focus and you wonder if they are playing the same game. But this one was spot on. Makes it all that more enjoyable. Thanks guys.
  13. The Hellcats if utilized for what their advantage is could have turned this. They have the highest off-road and speed rating in the game. Means less odds of bogging. An endrun past the JT by the M18s full speed, with the Sherman's moving slowly forward, and the Jackson's hanging back for sniping might have done it. I mean its easy to play armchair corporal but its fun.
  14. I hope we go into 1946 and see Pershing's dueling JS III. Shame those js3 never saw much action
  15. ^^ yes that, and if you have enjoyed the games of the series, then one will most certainly like this one too. IMHO it looks to be the most ambitious project of their WW2 series (next to the original at début )
  16. Not to overstate the issue or anything but in RL I know of one tanker who called a shot on the exhaust plume of a T55 that was below the siteline. He missed, but thought he had a good chance. So its possible. Its really relevant to see it from the M18 POV.
  17. A slight rise in the ground would expose the front lower hull and subtract the angle of deflection.. The barrel of the victim tank would be depressed giving the false impression of a hull down position. I've lost StuGs this way anyways.
  18. They got Prinz Eugen but you still have the Bismark. Time for another Hood.
  19. I suggested earlier in this thread bane should come out and take a swing with his heavies, banking that the EZ8 gun on the Hellcat may not damage, or might miss, and he could follow up with a kill shot. That move seemed to have worked for now. Bil will have to close tight and fast now I would guess.
  20. Lt Blanchard with his 45 makes a stand, runs up and pops a round into the spout. On no wait, but that was a coincidence as we hear the drone of a P51 tank buster zoom through the fireball... Sorry for the spoiler guys I couldn't help myself.
  21. Bane has a heavier armor with deadly guns and better range on his side. His few heavies are hugging the side of the map. He needs to act before Bil's tank platoons become mutually supporting, bil seems to be manning arcs for now but that is about to end once the recon is all done and they push in from 3 different directions. I say take a gamble the enemy first shot will not penetrate frontally and follow up with the assured kill shot on the hellcats. Jag in front, panther slightly behind. For added distraction get infantry out there and HTs ranging mg42 area fire on those Hellcats at the same time. Maybe lob in some screen smoke to dissect the map and lessen the threat on his left flank. Enough with the dancing, time for a right hook.
  22. They can link up with water tiles quite satisfyingly.
  23. Ha, Frasier Crane is an enthusiastic narrator. Good vignette of the Bulge none the less.
  24. Yep, There might be something to this. Need to ID the building and test it in the editor. So a save file or even a pic of the building would help.
