  1. Nice! What icon mod are you using, db zero?
  2. IIRC, most 82 Abn officers opted for the Garand (from Nordyke's books) for their overall range and effectiveness. I know Gavin carried one...it's in the picture of him loading up for Holland, and other pics of him in Belguim. Pics show Rueben Tucker of the 504th carrying an M1 folding stock carbine into Sicily. But that's officers. I'm just a hobby shooter, but it's surprising to me how uncomfortable I am shooting another guy's weapon, even if it's the same make/model. But I have no idea how it would be in combat. Having fired a Garand, I think I'd keep it, but who's to say that could change quickly in the heat of the moment. Depending on the situation, I suppose. On a related note, weren't GI's personally responsible for their assigned weapon, so that at the end of the day, assuming you weren't hit or KIA or it was destroyed, you were on the hook for it if you lost or abandoned it?
  3. I think I need to revisit CMSF. It was my first CM game, discovered quite by accident while checking YouTube for Bradley AFV footage. I have all the modules...Marines and Brit were my favorites. But I uninstalled it May 2011 when CMBN was released. As for WWII, I like them all and it is just a matter of which theater I feel like playing atm.
  4. Good deal. I couldn't test since FI is not installed atm, so wasn't sure how brownish/yellowish to go. I can screw around with b some, if you'd like, give you some variations to try.
  5. I just rename downloaded ones by putting "01" in front of the title. They show up first (alphabetically)
  6. I can't get to my Manual atm, but I recall that either it or Steve on some long ago post stated that flavor objects do affect on LOS,but do not provide cover. Like tall grass...concealment but not cover. I never tested it, but it seems that way, for whatever that's worth. Try it with haystacks...I know I've hid my men behind them successfully. Maybe it was just dumb luck? Getting anxious for you to release these masterpieces, Umlaut!
  7. One's an engine upgrade (3.0) and the other is a game upgrade, as I understand it. Even so, it still is confusing.
  8. Zane, it was a mod made by EZ, I believe, and was contained inside another mod. It's floating around here, shared by people that have with those that want it. PM me, I can send it to you. It works in all CMx2 engine games.
  9. Yes to the first question, Whiterider. No, is my experience, with the 2nd question.
  10. Like my Doc once told me, you only have to worry if you feel both of his hands on your waist.
  11. Thanks Erwin. Like you mention, I always thought the current MOVE order left the p-truppen vulnerable, but I recall a post in the last several months (maybe on CMBN forum?) that indicated that wasn't necessarily true. I have never tested it, but since then have noticed when under fire, MOVE-ordered troops will change to QUICK to move to cover, or will drop in place. Does anyone know for certain if MOVE is in fact less vulnerable than commonly thought?
  12. I have the same question. I never played any CMx1 games. How did Move to Contact work in that iteration of the game?
  13. QB maps all have AI plans, however rudimentary they necessarily must be. You can thank Mark Ezra for all the headaches and hard work he had to endure to make the maps and the plans for all the CM QB maps.
  14. Put me down for the redux version, PM. My email is: mark2039 (at) att (dot) net Thanks!
  15. Don't know the answer, Kieme, but I love your mods. Please consider uploading to Green-as-Jade's CMMODS website.
  16. Lol, we just can't seem to get enough CM combat movies. I got this notice from Dropbox... "Error (509) This account's public links are generating too much traffic and have been temporarily disabled!"
  17. I believe it was Mark Ezra who mentioned that the AI in general has been tweaked under the hood in ways that helps it react a bit more realistically to the situation (not just due to designer-in putted AI triggers).
  18. I'm pretty certain it did a long time ago...in MG release, or a patch for BN/CW perhaps?
  19. Nope, I do too, plus I usually mod the mods to some extent, especially uniforms. Btw, I do unpack all the game's brz files, and keep each in a separate folder in a directory where I keep all the game's files as a back up. Mainly so I can compare them against the mods that come out. But I keep the brz's in the main directory untouched.
  20. Erwin, I've made the mistake of leaving in the mods folder when I installed the game (v.2.0 release I think), and after taking Vin's animated text, everything was fine. And I have several hundreds (counting all of Aris' individual vehicles mods) in the mod folder.
  21. Good catch, MOS. Unfortunately, the game is now broken for me.
