Market Garden AFV's Display Errors (v.3.0)
mjkerner replied to Peter Panzer's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
I can confirm that the greyedout out stuff comes back after you log out and restart. Also, Mord's digitized vulgarities broil through the night air in the American Midwest as well , -
How long are you gonna shovel that? If that is the case, then your life is in beta, and so is every friggin' thing ever made that is continuously being developed. Ever by a car, Windows, Hostess Twinkies? The game was the game when you bought it. Now they've developed it more, adding features and improvements. Like the car you drive and bought last year. Too bad, so sad, but if you want a more developed Honda, you'll need to buy a new one. How is it that what otherwise seem to be rational people can't see this simple fact of economic life? Oh, there is another option, which is to let BFC build everything game they ever plan to build, and develop them to the umpteenth degree, then you can buy them in 2031 and pay several thousand dollars for it. Me, I can't wait that long. Forgot the next pack of Twinkies and that 6 pack of Heineken, and pay the $10 already, or don't. But stop with the hyperbole, and I promise I will too.

Old graphics glitchafter 3.0

The Readme...why should I have to read that? All fixed! -
Yes, your mods are very much appreciated, Mech.gato.

Old graphics glitchafter 3.0
mjkerner replied to mjkerner's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Hi Mord, ol' pal. Thanks. I re-installed twice more, but no joy. I followed the manual's install order, and had no mods either before or after. The manual didn't mention patch 2.12...I didn't patch to that before running 3.0. ****, ****, ****ty, ****-****! -
Old graphics glitchafter 3.0
mjkerner replied to mjkerner's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Thanks Phil. I was hoping to avoid doing that, but what the hell. I'll report back if it is a mod. -
Hi all, I'm getting the old Scarecrow/Christ on the Cross glitch after I installed 3.0. You know the one, vehicle drivers float above the seat, no headgear and arms outstretched to the side (sorry, no pic). I can't remember if that is due to an improper install order or a mod. I haven't played CMBN/CW/MG since 3rd wave testing for CMRT, so about 6 months, but I have occasionally opened it up to check new mods, etc., as they were released. When I installed CMBN 3.0, I took out the mod folder, followed all the instructions, and I don't have any other problems. Just drivers acting like they can walk on water. So, do I have to uninstall and go through the whole install process again, or is it maybe a mod? (I put them all back in, except for Vin's Animated Text. I know that one will cause problems.) Thanks!

CMRT VAAR-Block Busting in Bokruisk Part 2
mjkerner replied to Frankster65's topic in Combat Mission Red Thunder
Yes, I have been doing that for literally thousands of hours since May, 2011, and still couldn't remember if it was left for forward/back, right for pan, or what, without the game in front of me! -
Some aspects of this game....
mjkerner replied to Squallion's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
That's the way I look at it too. Not that I don't have the urge to rage quit now and then... -
CMRT VAAR-Block Busting in Bokruisk Part 2
mjkerner replied to Frankster65's topic in Combat Mission Red Thunder
Hold down Right Click (or is it Left Click?) and move the mouse forward/ back, Oddball. -
Except for the briefings, all that is physically required to produce scenarios and campaigns is a mouse. That said, even with Dragon Speak and cut/paste function, I hate doing the briefings. Edit: on second thought, I should have said "mostly" a mouse. Adding objective and reinforcement names, etc. require the keyboard too. But so does playing the game itself. The fact is, making scenarios is hard work. Making campaigns is tons of hard work. As pointed out already, most are made by the community/unpaid volunteers. 2-3 campaigns per release is par for the CM course.

WIP: New companion op-layer game for RT
mjkerner replied to Broadsword56's topic in CM Red Thunder Maps and Mods
Hi Broadsword, got your email, but l I've been mistakenly locked out of the account. Should be fixed shortly. I'm interested if you don't have an opponent yet. -
[WIP] Juju's 'The railyard at Pitrovsk' project
mjkerner replied to Juju's topic in CM Red Thunder Maps and Mods
I'm up for testing, too, Juju. I can't wait to get at this map and the mods! PM me. -
Well, I thought that might have been the case, but man, that's a lot of masking/transparency/whatever on (I assume) the truck textures. I didn't think that much manipulation would be possible. Very, very clever indeed!

Boy, I need to revisit the editor. I never noticed train cars before, or the...bridge?...that looks like rusty piping!

Two little things I'd like implemented...
mjkerner replied to Oddball_E8's topic in Combat Mission Red Thunder
I agree with all of the above, but especially would like to see toggling building transparency. -
It is also worth issuing just a Face command pointing to the casualty...seems to work most of the time for me.
-
PanzerMike, send Gates of Warsaw my way. I'd love to playtest it.
-
FGM's Rikonovo campaign also involves force preservation.

Let us know how it turns out...how off or on were my passing observations?

bog, I usually split them into teams, but yes, on hide they generally won't fire, but I have sen the others do so at times when the enemy is that close.
