Sorry to put this here, but this is the most active board atm, although I did post on the CMFI one as well. Besides, Free French forces fought in Normandy and beyond, so... I want to finally finish my Goumiers mod ( http://www.battlefront.com/community...d.php?t=110396 )* after over a year of non-CMFI play or modding. But it is just wrong/weird to have them speak in either Brit or American English accents. Has anyone done a voice pack mod in French? (Seriously doubt anyone has done one in Arabic with Agerian or Moroccan dialects...for WWII allies...but it can't hurt to ask.) Thanks. * No pics...I need to update my Photoshop account, I guess!

kk, this battle sounds vaguely historical...just can't put my finger on it. Waterloo? Good to see you back in the saddle with your creative juices flowing. I haven't played CMFI/GL in about a year, and still have to finish my Goumiers. Testing for RT, then RT release, then CMBN Vehicle Pack, and going back to work part time all got in the way. But this campaign has fired me up to get the mod done and get back to Italy. We were finished with all the winter mods, correct? I need to dig them out and take a look. Any specific help you need with this campaign? mjk

Thanks Rokko, not meant as a criticism regarding the long slog to contact...like I mentioned, it's atmospheric of the time and place. Nice map, btw. I am using Vein's SS mod. -

Rokko, just made first contact with enemy outposts after about 11 minutes. It's a very long and slow slog across the map. Kind of a drag, but very "Russia-like" to have all that ground to cover. I'm wondering why the arty is on-map instead of off-board. Any significance to that? -

Maybe you're now overthinking it, Lootenant! My pw is "a"...always. Not much trouble. Okay, so now I"ll have to change it to, I don't know, maybe "b" or "z". And of course you don't even need to actually put in a pw even when it asks for one. Much simpler, but you're banking on your oppo not tumbling to the idea that you wouldn't use one, but still... -

I substituted Waffen SS troops with Fallschirmjaegers in the first version of Borderland. Great fun! (I reworked almost all the MG German-centric scenarios to replace all or most German forces with FJ's.) I will have to go back and replace the Pz III's with Char's and see how it plays. -
There was at least one exception, the 100th Battalion (Nisei)/133/34ID, later with the 442nd.

From the visual, they're all being sucked to the left wall. The fast unit has no wall on it's left. Without lanes/walls, what happens? -
Welcome, Artemis. Check CMBN/CMRT on Youtube, look for vids by fellow Aussies Johnsy and Ithikial. They are both very good at making interesting AARs, and they have a lot of them to boot.

Late to the party, but that does suck big time I and I'm sorry to hear this. Take heart though, I had a number of key/license activation problems with both CMBN and RT after getting a new comp, and BFC Help Desk and Chris ND got it all sorted (RT just fixed a few minutes ago!). -

Rifle grenadiers/zooks/schrecks will shoot off their rifle grenades/rockets even at long ranges using Target, but won't if under a Target Light order. -
True, but I can understand Doug's frustration level with this BS thread going on 25 pages! And Doug, you know you can save your games in the Command Phase (before you install the Pack), and your pbem/saved games will work fine after the new install, right? (Not that it isn't still annoying, since I always forget to do that in my excitement to install the latest and greatest thing from BFC!)

LOL, Lucas, I was joking about the cost; figured I'd be the first to complain about it, since we know certain people will. But I could see the Bulge as a module (or two), rather than a new family. However, I thought there was mention a long time ago of major changes to the UI planned for the Bulge family, which would be CMx2 v4.0? Or am I thinking of the future CMx3? -

A small point about #1: the Vehicle Pack setup exe asks for your Vehicle Pack key. Surprisingly, I had absolutely no problems installing and activating CMBN/CW/MG/VP, which was a first for me! -
