  1. I guess it all comes down how much JK sourced bull**** one has already consumed.
  2. Can you even use multiple weather tags? I thought they effect both how certain tiles are rendered and how they behave in the game, so I'd expect a conflict.
  3. This is the result of an hour's heavy fighting and several artillery stonks on an area of dense forest: We made a clearing.....With a graveyard!
  4. Very pretty.....I'd have no issues with CM looking like that, but only if there was no cost to the gameplay (which I suspect there would be).
  5. Not a problem for me, CM:BS did my head in when I first played it, now I just wish there was more of it, perhaps with a broader technological spread (including both older systems and more modern innovations) to give the game a bit more utility. The absence of MLRS, cluster munitions, DShKs & ZU-23-2s also needs addressing IMHO.
  6. I was assuming @kohlenklau's StuG was based on one of the long barreled types, not a half-track.
  7. I dunno.....That the game still has us asking these questions is kind of impressive in its own right.
  8. I never heard that Ukraine had any BM Oplots.....But hey, it makes for a fun game!
  9. Not a simulator man.....My rig could easily handle it (even with a headset), but it just ain't my bag (which is odd because I always thought it would be). TBH I doubt I'll buy any new games other than CM stuff, I haven't touched my Steam account in at least a year.....Getting old (and the games just ain't getting any better).
  10. Meanwhile another 28Gb sits idle. Absolutely not a complaint about CM, so many other games are still 32bit LAA only.....Kinda makes the specs of modern(ish) gaming PCs seem a bit pointless.
  11. Have to agree with @womble the changes needed to make this sort of game would mean the end product wouldn't be CM.....Nor should it be IMHO, CM is designed to model a completely different sort of warfare. That said, if Battlefront were to create an ACW (or ECW or Napoleonic) game that modelled that conflict with the same authenticity that CM models later wars, I'd be first in the queue to buy it.
  12. Just dealt with this myself. Open the map.....Set conditions to frozen, snow, etc. (to match the snowy roofs) save the map. Exit the game. Reload the game and map. Set conditions how you want them and preview.....You should now be sorted. This worked for me when I did the same with my xmas scenario (I made two versions of the map, Winter 1943 & Summer 1944).
  13. How would anyone counter such a terrifying weapon?
  14. I wondered if that might be the reason for Red's terrible comms in CM:SF1, but it shouldn't have carried over to CM:SF2 where EW is modelled in the editor (you can choose an EW Strength setting for either side).
