  1. Firstly, the information in that video is not news to me or, I suspect, many others in this forum. Secondly, it still does not justify the title that you gave to this thread, or the implied criticism therein. You have a habit of claiming to know more than you actually do and you don't appear to actually play any of these games.....Why would Battlefront, or anyone else, take your posts seriously?
  2. Tend to go for General as it seems to have a bit more 'Ooomph!' against a wider variety of targets.....Individual tastes may differ.
  3. Very cool indeed. I'm really impresed by this map.
  4. Thought I should probably expand on this.....With forces like the US & NATO, I'll quite often start a Harass/General/Maximum (often not using all the tubes in a battery) at, or shortly after, scenario start (preferably using mortars). Then as I bait various OpFor units (like ATGMs & AT Guns) into revealing thmeselves (I'm absolutely not above recon by fire) the bombardment can be re-targeted as needed, taking them out or supressing them one by one.
  5. Thing is JK, you didn't post this in some general discusssion about the capabilities of the MiG.27, you posted it in a forum about CM:CW (a game that you don't even play) with an implied criticism of the game mechanics for the title.
  6. TBH, it's bedlam here.....But in a good way! Happy xmas all!
  7. That's kind of my point, the article's all over the place and it's far from alone in that. Going back to the Oplot in CM:BS, I really have no issue with it being there (it's no more inappropriate than T-90AM or M1A2 APS).....It all adds to the game.
  8. So who is giving away engineering drawings of the T-14.....Enquiring minds (& I suspect probably the GRU) want to know. Msta-S is based on a T-80 chassis, the Koalitsya we've seen so far are on a T-90 chassis.....Not convinced that qualifies as 'far beefier'.
  9. With drivel like this doing the rounds (as of November this year), it's no surprise there's some confusion about the reality of the situation: T-84U: The Tank Ukraine Would Use in a War with Russia https://www.19fortyfive.com/2021/11/t-84u-the-tank-ukraine-would-use-in-a-war-with-russia/
  10. Reckon your lone MG gunner is that notorious Alsatian, 'Jean Rambeau'.
  11. Don't rely on Pause & Reverse.....Pop out in the last 15 seconds of the turn, that way you should get to give orders as the situation develops, rather than hope the ones you already gave will hold up.
  12. I reckon JK's probably big enough and ugly enough to look after himself, but if you want to appoint yourself as his nanny, I guess that's your prerogative.
  13. (Almost) From one extreme to the other on the PAK front.....But you have them bang to rights now! I'm guessing you are using 3" Mortars? What fire rate do you favour for missions like this.....I've become extremely fond of Harass/Maximum, as quite often while you are waiting for it to arrive, other things will present themselves for a stonking. PS - IMHO this works even better with On Map Mortars as you can end the barrage really fast by cancelling at the spotter's end and also using Clear Target on the firing mortars.
  14. Here's my effort: The .rar file, including the single [partisan] tagged mod required for the scenario can be found here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jq2xscbm767ixxn/SgtS Xmas Scenario 2021.rar?dl=0 Thanks to @kohlenklau both for the idea to do a xmas scenario (I took it kinda literally) and for all of his assistance.
  15. Nope. Apparently not alone in that. But like I said, it makes for a fun game.
  16. This is probably the key.....If you can get squads to the hedgeline from multiple directions you should overwhelm them, smoke is alway your friend in moments like this.
  17. It seems that the sequence tags are loaded in can effect how they interact.....Hopefully @37mm can explain further, as I don't fully understand it.
