[Released] Zielgerät 1229 NIGHT HUNTER mode
Aragorn2002 replied to BarbaricCo's topic in CM Red Thunder Maps and Mods
Sounds interesting. What exactly does it do? I mean, will the Germans have night vision, or also the Allies? Or is it purely eye candy?- 15 replies

CMRT module. A rough estimate will do.
Aragorn2002 replied to Aragorn2002's topic in Combat Mission Red Thunder
I live near Amsterdam, Borg, not Rotterdam. I do like Market Garden, that's for sure. My passion for history began with a visit to the Airborne museum at Hartenstein, when I was a boy. I regret to say I can't watch the annual airborne landings op de Ginkelse Heide this year, because I'm abroad at that time. But the Eastern Front, well, I guess I am an Eastern Front Fanatic. I'm interested in most historical periods, from Byzantium to Napoleon and from the Crusades to WW1, but the Eastern Front never ceases to fascinate me. -

Funny, my wife has the same way of arguing as you have. Always makes me regret opening my mouth. -

You are right of course, Borg. I'm a typical product of my time: spoiled rotten. And the Ardennes will make me forget the snowy emptiness of the East for a while. -

Aragorn2002 replied to Aragorn2002's topic in Combat Mission Red Thunder
A dog and his bone... I know you gave us a reason for not giving the Eastern front your priority and I do no doubt it, because you guys are sharp enough to know where the business is, but I still regret it. For me Black Sea and Italy are just distractions, that do not or do not really appeal to me. Since I'm a minority I have to live with it and I will, but I'm far from happy with it. -
So when can we expect the CMRT module, with Waffen SS, snow and stuff? End of this year? Beginning of 2016? I'm as excited about the coming Ardennes game as everybody else, but my heart really lies on the Eastern front. So BF, please give us a rough estimate.

Brief overview of where CM is headed

In that case I have a suggestion for you. Start the thread, post your plans and lock it before anybody else can have a say about it. Consensus guaranteed. -
Brief overview of where CM is headed
Aragorn2002 replied to Battlefront.com's topic in Combat Mission Fortress Italy
I'm sorry to see the RT module doesn't have priority over the FI module. Don't really understand that decision, but so be it. -
Great initiative. IF I ever finish my scenario I will upload it at your site.

And the crimes they commited and the suffering they brought over other people.

A pleasant surprise. We do not have many campaigns, so it is much needed and very welcome. Thank you for your time and energy.

New CMRT Scenario: Carius at Malinova
Aragorn2002 replied to George MC's topic in CM Red Thunder Maps and Mods
I scored a German major victory, with 54 minutes yet to play (the Russians surrendered). Lost 1 Tiger against 20 Bolshie tanks. Veteran setting. Very enjoyable battle, George. Well done. I will try a harder setting next time.- 165 replies

Well, units of the Dutch 4th SS Panzergrenadier Brigade 'Nederland' fought alongside the 20th Estonian SS Grenadier Division at the Tannenberg Line. Both as part of the III. SS Panzer Korps, so hence the Dutch and Estonian insignia. Looking forward to the whole movie.
-
I see also an Estonian SS insignia and an Estonian SS collar patch. It is an Estonian movie, isn't it? Anyhow, well made. Not perfect, but a lot more realistic than the usual rubbish.
-
Thank you, Jorge MC. Now that's what I call a warmovie!
-
Me too. And I'm even more surprised there will be a module until the end of the war. Great to have the South Africans though.
-
Hi Chris. Since you seem to be the only one who is still communicating at this forum regarding the future of CM, I would like to ask you to give us an updated 'road ahead' for the coming year or so. Especially some news about the next CMRT module would be very welcome.

I always enjoy your work, Umlaut. Thank you very much. I love those Flakpanzer 38s.
