  1. We are almost two months further now, but still no screenshots. Please show us something, Steve.
  2. Well, it's done. Hopefully we can some more infor on the Bulge now.
  3. I must say this battle report is starting to convince me that modern warfare is indeed cool. I especially like the T-90, quite a tank.
  4. What kind of remark is that? Kettler is right, isn't he? Or are we opening a new agency for Russian propaganda at this forum?
  5. I've only watched this movie for the first couple of minutes. After seeing Pitt jump off from a tank on a German officier on horseback and stabbing his eyes out, I decided it's a waste of time. Disgusting. Same rubbish as Inglorious Bastards and an insult to those who fought and suffered. I really don't understand why Hollywood continues to make such movies full of hate and nonsense. With such a budget they could have made a much better movie, but it is all about sensation and making money nowadays, isn't it? Who is interested in historical accuracy or justice? Talking of which. The confirmation of the shooting of German prisoners is interesting, though not at all surprising. For those of you who speak German, watch the documentary "Uber Galgen wächst kein Gras"on You Tube on the Malmedy-proces. You only have to look at the faces of the American guards, when interrogated, to know enough.
  6. Some old and no doubt bitter veterans playing tough before the camera. That is hardly shocking. Germany paid a extremely high price for their part in the two world wars. Time to forgive and forget.
  7. Their own needs and requirements? I don't know any other company that listens so well to their customers. They know what they are doing. Post-Bagration will allow us to fight very interesting battles in the Baltics, Romania, Hungary, Poland, Eastern Prussia, Silesia, Saxony and so on and so on. Hopefully the Finns will be added too someday, so the battles in the summer of 1944 in Karelia can be simulated too. Beginning at the end of the war makes sense in every respect and I'm sure the vast majority of wargamers are very happy with that decision. Btw, talking about the Finnish war. Here is a very interesting article on Lauri Törni, a Finnish war hero, who deserves to be remembered. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lauri_T%C3%B6rni
  8. Don't know about that, Polo, I think it is pretty useful background information. The main point is that France never has been a very dedicated member of NATO, hence the decision of BF to leave your country out of CMSF.
  9. Contrary to the French the Netherlands always has been a reliable and stabile member of NATO. The French only fight for there own interests and always have been unpredictable. Remember the Franco-Ottoman alliance of 1536. It would be nice to have the Foreign Legion though.
  10. Something has to happen and I think your plan is sound, Rocketman. It will not only concentrate all knowledge, but it might also stimulate people to work together in projects. One could for example start a project in remaking a series of the best CMBB scenarios for CMRT. I'm working on one myself and although it is a slow process due to lack of time, it is fun to do and not nearly as hard as I initially feared. .
  11. First of all we need the last year of the war on the Eastern front, most people would like to see that. It also makes sense to finish that first. The rest of the war will come after that.
  12. I definitely agree with that. And the fog could do with some improvement. But the pine trees are essential. Most important feature for this game is to get the specific atmosphere in the Ardennes right, including the trees and buildings.
  13. The good news is that the Ardennes game is coming sooner than I expected. This theater of war always has been one of my favorites.
  14. Mord, I'm so sorry, I completly missed it! You are a prince among men! Absolutely fantastic and I'm very happy with it! I have been so busy in the last couple of weeks that I didn't notice, please accept my apologies. P.s I've just installed the icons for the 19. Pz. They look excellent, such details really make me happy. Thank you so much, Mord. Btw, I'm working on a scenario on the GD at the moment. Hint, hint. ;-)
  15. Borg, I love it. I never play night missions, but I'm sure WM isn't ideal for that.
