  1. I don't care much for 'new features', because I think this game is already close to perfection. New features bring delay and as said seldom satisfies anyone. I think there's some truth in most posts in this thread, but there isn't a game anywhere that can touch CM, so let's be glad that BF is willing to make such complicated and deep games. The engine is good enough as it is now and I hope BF will quickly go to the eastern front after this. To all you guys at BF working on it at the moment (and I bet you worked REAL hard for the past months): don't mind us too much. What you are doing is outstanding and second to none. Thank you for all your incredible work. Combat Mission RULES!
  2. Very enjoyable Saturday morning reading, Baneman. Perhaps you can bait that Hellcat with some infantry or a halftrack and nail him. I really hope you will.
  3. Continue like that, Kohlenklau and you make me forget about the Ardennes...
  4. Hi Baneman. Very enjoyable AAR. I would use the 251s as recon and bait, but I would stop moving infantry with them. I know you don't need my advice, but that burning 251 could have been loaded.
  5. Superb screenshot, Baneman. Such a sexy weapon, that Sturmgewehr 44.
  6. Thank you for the Drilling screenshot, Baneman, much appreciated. Always nerve-wrecking to advance. Take your time.
  7. I've bought this game last week. Base game is free, with three scenarios (one especially interesting with the 116. Panzer). I've bought the module on Bastogne and the one on KG Peiper, both with 12 scenarios, both for a discount til TODAY, so be quick if you want to buy it. Gameplay is very innovative. Very enjoyable. And let's not forget Christer Bergströms excellent book on the battle in the Ardennes. At least as good as the book by Peter Caddick-Adams.
  8. Gorgeous screenshots, Baneman. Thank you. They show CMFB in all it's majesty. Those buildings are very nice. Can't wait to see that Drilling open fire. Dran, drauf und dürch! Last week I've played Command Ops 2 Battles of the Bulge and I'm reading Bergströms book on the Ardennes at the moment. Combined with these screenshots I'm really getting into the mood.
  9. I wish your lady and you all the best, Bud. May the recovery be speedy and complete.
  10. I think it is time we get more details about the coming release. We all have been pretty patient, so tell us what the present status is and what we can expect and when. Please.
  11. Last week I've stumbled upon Command Ops 2 by Panther Games. Battles of the Bulge and very, very deep. I need to spend more time on it, but it looks like a very well made wargame. Base game with three scenarios is for free, the rest you can buy, if you like it. Panzer Campaigns is definitely fun.
  12. Impressive list. Really looking forward to this. Now let it go, guys...;-)
  13. Bloody brilliant! Excellent atmosphere to get in the mood.
  14. Please register my pre-order, Kohlenklau. Looks brilliant. Bulge screenshot ain't bad either. ;-)
  15. All the best, Kohlenklau. I hope your recover soon.
  16. You've searched for btt.files, but also for cam files, Repsol? ;-) Well, thanks for trying and for two exceptionally well made scenarios. I hope this hasn't put you off making more scenarios in the future.
  17. Perhaps you still have a restore point from before your disaster? Worth a try too.
  18. Try recuva by Piriform for example. Free download, Repsol. If you really want those scenarios back, you can also try the Professional version. It ain't that expensive. Personally I certainly would give it a try, if I were you.
  19. Sad news indeed. Your first mission is one of the best I've ever played. Can't you use a program to recover deleted maps? There are some good ones out there.
