  1. Yes and No. Those added by a scenario designer can be seen in the editor But the internal tags used by BF can't bee seen - ie. Snow, Muddy etc. P
  2. For the Stoumont map, on which used this ring of heavy forest my reasoning was very simple - I didn't want armour, either AI or player controlled roaming deep inside the large forested areas on the map. Secondary benefits were that of representing the denser belt of undergrowth often seen at the edges of wooded areas and to degrade LOS to/from units further inside the wood. P
  3. I agree with IanL - all the FIBUA grenade training and stands I went though emphasised how difficult it is to throw grenades into buildings, with it being almost impossible if the target building had been prepared for defence/fortified. A grenade command is something I would be happy to see, but I would also want to see a lot of grenades not going exactly where I wanted them. Players are far more cavalier with explodey things in game than the average squaddie. P
  4. Another source http://contentdm.lib.byu.edu/cdm/search/collection/GermanyMaps and US Army 1:50000 maps of Belguim http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/ams/belgium_50k/ P
  5. Set the month to October or November and it should appear. P
  6. Copied from the other thread Seeing how this seems to have become a bit of an issue - just for clarification. The patchy snow is artist licence as the map looks a lot more attractive with it than just plain old dreary, muddy, muted green. The weather for the scenario was initially set as clear blue skies and the US had air support, however these were both pulled for balance/game play purpose (you nearly got mist at one stage). L Co 117th Inf Regt was part of Task Force McGeorge that operated in the Roanne - Roanne Coo area over the period 18th - 22nd Dec, before moving from Roanne towards Trois Ponts. The battalion pioneer platoon (A&P Plt) in reality was truck mounted, but halftracks have been used for balance purposes and interest. C Co 743rd Tank was also part of TF McGeorge and supported 117th Inf Regt over the period, but whether they had Easy Eights and a 105mm working together is unlikely. The German forces in the area of Moulin Marechal were known as Sperrgruppe Muhle, being elements of 1./SS-Pz.Aufkl.Abt 1, but by the 23rd it is likely they had withdrawn from the mill to Ferme Werimont just off map to the west. As such the mission as depicted is fictitious. No stop talking about the weather and lets read some AAR's @Aragorn2002 I only made the one map for the game - sorry about that - however as you can see the demo only uses a small part of it though (SE corner) P

  8. Well this is what was there - maybe google can assist with tank types, but I've always assumed it was the Sherman. 9. Ok have it your way. But for the record not only have I had the opportunity to ride in a M20 on a couple of occasions I have also live fired the Carl Gustav 84mm - but what do I know.
  10. You need to apply some real world logic to the situation. A Bazooka is about 4.5 ft long. How easy do you think it is to manhandle a 4 and half foot steel drainpipe in a constricted space such as the compartment of an armoured car ? Once you have managed to get thing out of the hatch/cupola how do you then load it while still remaining in the vehicle. All this on the basis that a tank which can kill in the blink of an eye continues to point it's barrel the wrong way. Very few soldiers would take those odds. P
  11. Jon - I've just punched through opening and cease firing missions 1 & 2 and can confirm this. Two flame teams are on the map at mission 3 start, but only have a leader. Here I've moved both teams into a corner of the set up zone, and there is clearly only one person in each team Odd P
  12. I didn't mean it for you to think you can't ask questions, far from it, but just to reiterate the manual is key to getting the best out of this game. Some think they can play it without bothering and then spend a lot of time complaining that game doesn't work as they expect it to.
  13. This really is a game where reading the manual and completing the tutorial missions is time well spent. The subtly and nuances of the game are many and the game rewards the attentive and alert player who understands all the game commands. P
  14. It might help if you can post a screen shot of your data file, so we can see what you have in it. P
  15. The problem is your end so something is going wrong with your installation. Are you unzipping the BP files to an empty folder before running the installer as if not that can cause a problem P
  16. @Ivanov If you fancy learning how to play German infantry on defence against Red Army armour have a go at Red Hordes as the Germans - plenty of on the job training, but you should emerge with a good feel for how to use limited AT assets. Let me know if you enjoy it P
  17. I take it you have the vehicle pack correctly installed It should show like this In the editor this is where I find them P
  18. German Army or SS Armour Anti Aircraft Platoon ( Light ) gets you 4x Flakpanzer 38(t) HTH P
