Well said, I'm 100% with you. I had Great Grandparents and Grandparents who immigrated to the United States in the early 1900's, They lived in Poland close to the Ukrainian Border. They were pushed out by Lenin's Communists. They told me stories about how the Polish people and Ukrainian people got along so well and referred to them as cousins. I served in the Marines from 1982-1989, my MOS was 0351/0352, TOW Missiles, the M-47 Dragon ATGM, and the LAAW [Light Anti-tank weapon and Demolitions] with a little cross training on the M-60A1 Tanks. In the 8 years that I served all we were taught was how to defeat the Russian Armored Juggernaut, and honestly after I started learning more and more about the Communists and Soviets, I started to really dislike them, almost a hatred towards them. The hatred I had towards the Russians wasn't against its people but centered more on their leaders and military. I know what the Germans did to them in WWII and what the Soviets did to the Germans while they raced to Warsaw and Berlin how many in the Soviet Army acted like animals towards the Polish and German People. When I started watching the war that Putin unleashed on Ukraine, I figured it was a war like many before it, but after seeing the Atrocities against the Ukrainian People I clearly see that nothing has changed, the horrors that they committed against ordinary people, the old, young children and even babies made my blood boil. When I was a Marine, I wouldn't even think of doing that to any person, and if I saw anyone doing such a thing to civilians, I would have stopped it. I have a conscience that I have to live with, and I wouldn't be able to sleep if I witnessed something like that and did nothing to stop it. The Russian soldiers are acting in a barbaric way towards the Ukrainian people, almost like they are not even human. I hunt Deer and other animals like Wild Turkey, Elk, and Black Bear, and I always do my best to make sure that the animals I kill don't suffer, which is more I can say for the Russian soldiers killing civilians needlessly. If I had to kill a person in war or self-defense I can do it without hesitation, but I can't Murder somebody in cold blood. These so-called Russian soldiers are acting no different than the Roman soldiers or even the Huns, killing and murdering everybody they see. If Putin takes over the Ukraine, you know he's NOT going to stop there. I suspect he will start going after the Baltic Countries and Poland, maybe even Finland. I do have more to say on this topic but it's almost my bedtime.

The West didn't side with USSR because Nazi Germany was a greater threat to the world, but because it was greater threat right there and then and when USSR also got into the fight against Germans - supporting it would've been the only logical step to take. Because, remember, USSR started World War 2 together with Germany as allies. Nobody forgot that for a second, hence "Operation Unthinkable".
The only reason the other half of Europe hasn't witnessed how much of genocidal maniacs Russians can be is because USA got nukes and everybody jumped under the umbrella - and even that didn't stop USSR from bringing death and misery to the world for the next 45 years. Name literally any genocidal regime after 1945 - and you can be damn sure USSR was, if not balls deep in it, then actively pouring stuff into it.
And, oh boy, if we are to talk deathcounts... In Ukraine alone Russia has murdered about as many Ukrainians as NG killed Jews. Russia killed millions in other countries it occupied, but Ukraine had it worse because it was the most populous of them and also because Russians just have that genocidal boner about us they can't seem to ever tame.
USSR and Nazi Germany are one and the same. Some just had to deal with it for 70 years instead of 7. And then USSR just called itself "Federation" instead of "Union".

This Russian Invasion reminds me so much of Operation Market-Garden, with the spring mud the Russian Armor is road bound and being picked off in large numbers by Aircraft, UAV's, Javelins, RPG's and all sorts of Anti-Tank Missiles, even Mines and Molotov Cocktails. The fighting spirit of the Ukraine Army is right up there with the Polish Home Army fighting in Warsaw, 1944. The battle footage we are seeing hasn't really happen in any major war in the past, but I'm just P&#*ed OFF with the Russian targeting of civilians, hospitals, shelters marked CHILDREN!!!  WTF???? If NATO can get off it's ass and send some Mig-29's to Ukraine that would really help them out.

Since it looks like the Western Countries including the USA are going to sit out helping the Ukranian Army, with Fighting troops, I decided to turn the American Units into a Ukranian Force pool. Basically now I can add Javelin's and Tow Missiles to their forces, dressed in the same Ukranian uniforms. I just learned that the Ukranian Military started to get a new assault rifle called the M4-WAC47, which is nothing more than an American M-4 Carbine, 5.56mm, so it won't seem weird to see Ukranian Troops with an M-4. They also started to get the M-107A1 Barrett Sniper Rifle, and Armored Humvee's, .50 cal included. This all started in 2018 under President Trump and this is just some of the kit he supplied to them. If anyone is interested in doing this, give me a shout and I will put it on here, it took a little bit of time getting everything figured out but the best part is now all American Units look no different than the Ukranian Army. Cheers

Gary R Lukas got a reaction from Artkin in WHY has nobody considered attempting Stalingrad?
I Just Started a scenario on Operation Hubertus, November 11 -1942. It's going to be a medium-large size scenario concentrating on the Panzer Pioneer Battalion 50 and Sturmkompanie 44 attacking the Comissar's House and I./Pioneer Battalion 305 trying to take the Apothke and down to the Volga. It's going to have Help from a Stug Abt with Stug III early and a few s.I.G.150's. I'm going to use the early model Brumbar's, the armor for both of these vehicles were about the same except the s.I.G. was open topped and the Brumbar isn't. I took the Central Stalingrad Map somebody made awhile back and Zero'd almost everything out, and now I'm making the map from drawings and a lot of pictures of the buildings. I really want to do this the right way, I mean lots of trenches, bunkers, craters and rubble everywhere. Taking the junk piles and placing them where they should be will be time consuming but, I want to do this right. So far, I have the Commissar's House, the Opothke and the Park finished, with a little bit of luck I am hoping to have this project ready for testing in a few months, Cheers!!!

If RT was to be expanded, I would like to see it go back in time, maybe to June 1942. I would like to see some of the older German panzers try to kill a KV-1 with a Panzer III H or J short 50. Maybe throw some of the early lend lease vehicles into the mix like the Lee, Matilda, Churchill even add the T-60 and other earlier examples of the T-34. I would love to see a scenario for Stalingrad and Kursk where all of the vehicles are from that time period and not taking a Panzer III G from an Ad Hoc group in 1945 and trying to make it work in 1942-43.
