The Soviets also sent ISU-152s to Egypt in the 60s and 70s, which in turn were captured in their wars with the Israelis. One interesting conversion was where they removed the main gun and converted them into BTT-1 recovery vehicles:

Delighted to hear you're inspired, X, no SS units, but the HG Panzer division, which is also extremely interesting. But don't forget the 'ordinary' infantry divisions like the 1st (defending their Prussian homeland!) and 50th. They deserve to be remembered for their tenacity and bravery.

So, what is it with you guys who complain that there aren’t enough bones or information given out, but when Steve and Elvis are all over it with posting after posting, with eye candy and explanations what’s going on(!) and yet you complain about the release being “late”?
Sorry, I just don’t get it (and it is exactly the main reason BFC has given for not giving us deadlines). Complaining about one or the other I understand, but both??
Forgot to add: Rant Over, and I love all yuose guys anyways!

In Assault scenarios, you get to see quite a few of the enemy fortifications and positions before Turn 1, which makes sense.
Otherwise, fortifications don't seem unreasonably easy to spot. It's amazing what you can see with the naked eye from 3-400m away, with binoculars even more so.
I'm not sure how invisible you'd expect fortifications and emplacements to be...
