  1. Strange, not at all how it played when I last tried it, must be somewhere last year.
  2. @MikeyD, had any luck with uploading it? Been anticipating this for a while, and would be a shame if your work doesn't get published. Cheers!
  3. I just successfully blasted a building in CMFI, fwiw.
  4. Thought to start this topic because: For the next patch there is come unclarity among some forumites about things that are confirmed to be worked on and which will most probably be 'fixed' in the next patch on the horizon. This is also true for me, as some of the perceived issues I faced have been discussed in the past but weren't 'fixed' in the last patch and so it isn't 100% clear for me whether they are confirmed and on radar. So, I thought it might be helpfull to create a list of issues that live in my mind: CMBN (or larger, but mainly affecting bocage) Bocage runners: pixeltruppen can feel the urge to regroup while charging forward in certain situations - Existence confirmed, being worked on and will hopefully be fixed soon. Personally I haven't really been impacted by this CMSF2 (latest with all modules) Dutch platoon HQ radio's not being there (and dutch squads, other teams) - Confirmed that a fix will come in next patch. Because there seemed to be converging issues with radio/c2 I smell some risk that not all known issues are on radar. Syrian PKM ammo only 100rnds - confirmed and will be changed AFAIK Gill missile seems to have inverted flight path, instead of being a top attack missile it tries to skim the ground and when the target is on higher elevation almost always hits the ground. Confirmation unknown (to me) Syrian QB RPG supply issue: In QBs, for what I can discover all syrian formations have only 1 or 2 rounds of RPG ammo available. Excellent/etc doesn't make a change. Sometimes there is 1 RPG squad with a normal/decent amount of RPG rounds available. This makes the Syrian forces not really viable for QB's. Republican guards mech do have RPG ammo in the BMP-2s, but those are never the better VR rounds. The unconventional forces don't have this issue BTW, their ammo seems normal. PS It was reported AFAIK (pre previous patch), but not sure about current status. This is quite important for CMSF2 QB's and multiplayer IMO. Syrian airborne mech (and BMP-3) not available in QB Syrian airborne mech forces in editor: they also suffer supply issues with regards to their RPG ammo. The Airborne infantry battalion doesn't face this issue. Syrian C2: it's a bit vague, but at times Syrian forces with radio's aren't in C2 with their HQ, no matter how long one waits. Another time, they are in C2. Difficult to pinpoint exactly, but Liveload seemed to have found out something. Not sure if that's it or not. I posted one example in thread: CV9035 could probably use some other fire scheme, as it's currently operating it's 35mm KTEF rounds like a 25mm. The KETF rounds seem a little undermodeled too. This has been suggested by multiple forumties and I agree. CMFI (latest with all modules) Adjusting one indirect/artillery mission, will also affect FFE missions currently onderway. I found out because I ordered a preplanned Arty mission (area, light, long or medium not sure), and a preplanned mortar smoke mission. When I adjusted the smoke mission, the arty mission also became a smoke mission using the same target as the smoke mission. It seems that any adjusting of arty missions in CMFI, will cause adjusting other missions already planned/underway. That's it. @BFCElvis hope this is useful for you (guys). Keep up the good work!
  5. Through the website of your mobo supplier you can usually update drivers specific for your mobo. MSI and others have an automatic tool too which can even be used to update video cards etc. However, Like the others here, I usually just update things manually.
  6. AFAIK BF have actually confirmed it and said they work on it after the previous patch was released, but they said it wasn't an easy fix because difficult to find out why. Perhaps someone could find that post and sticky it, because this problem gets re-reported very few weeks. It might also help people like you who falsely assume there has been no confirmation/response from BF and start going wild about them being money hungry bastiges or something (my thoughts). Anyway, apart from bocage, I don't see why WW2 is unplayable. As is modern. So that leaves a lot to play. The remarks about them not patching without money to be made is uncalled for I think. Just look at the patch history. Many patches apart from paid 'upgrades'. Also, you can still buy those modules but you choose not to. While you are calling out people that say you should live with it, I think you are creating unnecessary fuss/drama and spreading incomplete information around a real issue with bocage fighting. Relax, it will be fixed in the next patch I'd expect. Keep your money nicely in your pocket until then, hopefully inflation won't damage the value in the mean time Apart from bocage, it's not really effecting much other stuff. I've had my share of bocage already a long time ago, so I'm not really impacted by this bug.
  7. Perhaps the resolution is too much? You can set the resolution with a textfile, although not exactly sure how. For the blurry text try disabling FXAA in Nvidia. I'm on a 2560x1440 monitor, win10 and GTX1080 without issues.
  8. Agreed, I think @BletchleyGeek hit the nail on it's head. In WW2 games I often use the squad lead on point during assaults, as they often are the only one to have an SMG and need to provide close c2. Although, if it's a green/-2 leader I tend to use them for overwatch duties rather than for assaulting duties. Also, when you are duking it out with enemies at range I try to keep HQs etc on covered arcs. Squad lead's SMG isn't that usefull in that regard so he's used to provide c2 with Plt HQ, while the other parts of squad are exchanging fires with enemy. In modern titles the squad the squad lead isn't the only one with an automatic weapon. And often even split squads have radio, so there is no real need to use the SL on point. Also, point man in modern titles is a bit more dangerous due to accuracy and proliferation of high calibre direct HE chucking weapon systems. I scout more and try to give most units covered arcs so I can start the firefight on my terms. In my experience mortars aren't picking of Squad leads more than other pixeltruppen. But, that's also anecdotal.
  9. Bit late, but had some other stuff to deal with. I thought the style and way of presentation suited this battle, and the type of battle it simulates (CMBS, full spectrum intense meeting engagement). Couldn't say what style I prefer, following 1 unit vs following a battle, kabooms vs ingame footage, etc. All have their own charm, more options are better I guess :-).
  10. IIRC disabling FXAA or AA transperency in Nvidia control panel worked for me. There is the option to create a Nvidia profile per application, so there is no need for switching settings before/after playing CM.
  11. Nice finale! Literally fighting till the last men standing!
  12. Not sure as I didn't play the training campaign / tutorial, or I can't remember. Anyway, if 1st Platoon HQ isn't on the map and thus provides no c2 between it's squads and CO HQ, than that indeed explains no information share. You can however move a squad close to Company HQ, than it will get into close c2 and still provide info sharing.
  13. I'm not in the position to answer your question, as I don;t know why. I do know that mines can be marked' by engineers, after which infantry can sort of safely walk trough them at 'move' speed (not faster!!). Vehicles should still stay clear of marked mines, as they are only marked and still very active. The best way of detecting mines is with engineers moving (not hunt/quick/fast) or slow near the mines. AFAIK standing still near mines for a while doesn't really help. Like you say there is a way to clear a path with heavy artillery (155mm). Those will detonate mines that are near the shell during impact (I guess an 'armor mission' for the artillery should do best). Those aren't necessary though. In my playthrough of the campaign last year I didn't use artillery, although I think I do remember it proved quite a nuissance to even detect the mines. More than normally IIRC. I think the aim is to force the player to cross a mined path while in contact with the enemy. The plan seems to be working rather good from the AI point of view, I'd say However, the campaign offers plenty of great moments to come. Don't let this stop you from punching through that first line of defense, into Syria proper!
  14. Could be true, don't have it (yet). Although I do have Ziggo movies & series XL or something like that, which I also don't really watch much of.
  15. Well, I'm home at work on the forum. Does that count? Don't have honey do lists, there are some pro's to being divorced I was expecting some more activity on the forum too.
  16. I would like to see them on map. They would be useful for the assault on heavy fortified strongpoints (heavy buildings, bunkers, etc). The urban fighting in Berlin features, afaik, many battles for fortified buildings / streets. The B-4 seems authentic for this. With the 155mm SP long tom in CMFB, the Sturm Tiger and AVRE I think there is plenty of similar 'over powered' semi direct fire units in CMx2 game already. A scenario designer can always choose not to include them. Also, they probably won't be that useful apart from destruction of fortified positions because it would take a long time moving around. Like @BletchleyGeek , I think it is probable that direct fire usage of such things is more of a 'bottom up' thing than a 'top down' thing.
  17. Agreed, but here we are talking about the inclusion of a howitzer on map or off map. Not about the atrocitiesvcommitted by different parties. I don't think anyone here applauds what happened to german woman in 1945.
  18. Welcome to the club And if you suddenly lose sound, try alt S.
  19. I think the issue isn't that big, although i don't play much bocage anyway. I think V4 is certainly an improvement now. before latest patch there was a bigger issue imo, with troops fleeing cover when under fire. they changed the behavior. and they posted that they are aware of this bocage bug and working on it.
  20. I think that's expensive way of saying that a baker in an actual bakery baked the bread. What is true though is that they add a lot of sugar and other stuff in most 'factory' (white/brown) baked breads. If you eat a lot of bread, it doesn't hurt to buy better breads. There is actually well tasting (although, taste...) quality bread and it is indeed more expensive than the casino white or whatever it's called here. Although it won't kill you if you get some now and then, for toast & scrambled eggs or whatever. They are great with melted cheese in between too. If you're allowed out to the store (by wife and or government), go for it!
  21. See all of them! Luckily That turret turning should have them wetted their pants.
  22. Don't worry bout me, I'll do as I please. I don't think Umlaut was offended, either. However, it takes two to tango and I guess you guys could probably both listen that song before reacting to each other. But than I don't really have a wish to get in between of it either. So, wish all a good weekend!
