  1. Let it go, let it go, let it go
  2. Ik dacht dat je de ignore optie gebruikte Laat het gewoon gaan zou ik zeggen, tenzij je graag jullie haat-liefde verhouding etaleert voor ons allemaal
  3. 100MB is fine indeed, when I lived in KL I had fibre line so I didn't mean that the connection there are bad ;-). However, Malaysia is quite far away from USA and behind different internet exchanges compared to where I live, in Amsterdam there is a big internet exchange distributing traffic coming from over the atlantic. What I meant is because of corona crisis more people work from home and or use internet at home, so there will be bandwith caps in place to ensure it all remains working. The VPN giving better speeds could be an explanation for that. Anyway, I guess your VPN resolved your issue so enjoy CMBS
  4. Well all speculation that could explain it is welcome . In my memory, it's the optics of the commander's station which can't be used by just the crew (of BMP1 / 2 iirc). So, without commander in the vehicle they can't use the optics properly, but never knew/experienced that for radio's. It does seem a bit unlogical too I'd say, because they could just grab the headset from commander station and put it on . However, it could be an explanation for this issue . So I tried it out as I made a save before, and it seems that crewing the BMP with half a squad (incl the leader) doesn't give them the ability to use the radio in the BMP. So, this doesn't seem to be the case I'd say: Edit: in the same screen the BMP doesn't have c2 either, although the screen just shows the halfsquad.
  5. In the screenshots provided, the Platoon HQ does have radio c2 with the Company HQ in a bmp. However, the Platoon's BMPs do have a radio, but don't have c2 with the platoon HQ. I tried moving the bmp within LOS, but c2 was only established when close unbuttoned visual c2. I think this shouldn't be happening, not sure if this is known already.
  6. Just looked on the web and all are available at a bargin (10eur). Turned out we just missed one, so ordered it on the fly. Thanks!
  7. Thanks for the image! I'll save that. It would sure be nice to read them again, in the chronical order of the stories. I did notice that Valley of the Immortals should take place after the Swordfish stories, which was my favorite. I store all my cartoons at my fathers collection, because he has a much larger collection and keeps good care of them. Think he has all but one or two, they can be a bit hard to find in shops here (the one(s) that are left) but I'll check if I can find those for his upcoming birthday.
  8. Haven't read The Voronov Plot yet, so good to know there is more in store. Ps: Some nice intense action! CMBS is very lethal.
  9. My father bought the The Valley of the Immortals recently and when I discovered that, I confisqated them for a few days Tintin was one of my favorites as a child, I think they're still great. I too prefer the 'real-life based' over superheroes. The quote is attributed to Ferdinand Foch during WW1. He supposedly wrote it in a report he send to Joffre. Whether he actually send it, I don't mind. I think I first read it in The First World War by John Keegan. Anyway, I found it a very powerful mindset applicable for my own life :), part of 'the art of living'.
  10. As someone that does enjoy cartoons (mainly things like Blake & Mortimer, Trigan empire, Storm, adventures of Alex), but don't read a lot of them anymore since a long time; I do enjoy the cartoon format, both your normal style and this style. Appreciate the time that goes into creating these!
  11. Just discovered this so that's one reader ;-). I usually read all your AARs (and others), however often just lurking but giving likes. Due to corona I work from home so everything is a bit more calm and thought to post to show there are actually people reading and enjoying. I think I'm not the only lurker who enjoys those. Great to have a AAR to read during this period! So, thanks!
  12. Perhaps some throughput it is limited because of Corona? I know that there are measures in place, for certain things. For example here Youtube and netflix go for normal definition by default, instead of HD. I just tried downloading CMBS patch, 60mb in a couple of seconds. However, I'm in NL with connection of ~250Mbps so not sure if that is good comparison. You live in Malaysia if I remember correctly?
  13. Best of luck over there in such times! Even though it's pandemic time here, I'm thankful to be/live in NL. And indeed, wish everyone well during these times!
  14. Thanks, good to know! If needed/useful I'd be happy to assist testing the CMSF2 patch (when the time for it has arrived).
  15. Thanks for the answer, I can understand you are swamped currently. Have been working from the house since some time, but I use the conference capability instead of providing it It is sort of productive not being disturbed by the typical office things all the time, although whole day conferencing / working together over audio is quite intensive. And it's different on a social level So, good luck with work! In the meantime I read Steve posted about the issue, so good hopes it will be resolved in next patch.
  16. Not sure if I have the updated version, my one is dated 08-01-2016 and 32.865 KB. Unfortunately it isn't available here, although there is an updated road to montebourg: https://www.thefewgoodmen.com/tsd3/category/combat-mission-battle-for-normandy/cm-battle-for-normandy-campaigns/
  17. Good to hear it is fixed! I was surprised that the fix didn't appear in the previous patch (because it was reported to be fixed already), so just double checking the original fix (pre 2.02) hasn't inadvertedly been borked by another issue. And of course of course I / we understand that you don't track issue's mentally and nobody knows the status of all issues by memory. That woudn't be healthy
  18. @sburke, now that the campaign is revised, Dutch forces still seem to be missing radio's, I thuoght to follow up Do you know whether this issue is 'confirmed' already?
  19. Indeed that might be the framed best horizon I saw in CMx2.
  20. The random spotting cycle does also simulate reality in a certain way, although at times it can indeed lead to strange results like not seeing a tank a few meters away. Still, in real life there are many reasons as to why someone isn't aware of/seeing something they should really see.
  21. Lol. Perhaps it was him who gave us our nukes? Edit: we could theoretically probably make the weapons if the will was there, but afaik we only have medical / energy nuclear reactors and the only nuclear weapons we have are a not so well kept secret in the form of nuclear bombs that can be dropped by an F16, bombs made by and send (for gratis?) from yours truly.
  22. Did notice this in a little test today. The 35mm shouldn't need that much 'exposure' I guess. The CV seems to be expending ammo like a bradley, although the cartridge and ammo capacity is quite different. I also did some testing with the Gill today (because others reported it did weird things, but didn't notice that so far), and I did find something very odd. It seems that it's flight path is inverted, instead of going 'up' (as a top attack missile should, and the ingame model does suggest such behavior) it goes 'down'. When I use it from an elevated position, it works fine. However, my test today was in a defilade against targets on a higher plateau. All missiles (2 teams firing about 4 or 5 each) skimmed the ground and intersected with the ground before reaching the target. I guess it is reproducible if this is not a 'known' bug yet. ? Between the c2 radio issues, the Gill and the CV90 I'm holding back playing with the Dutch too, unfortunately. I hope the next patch will fix these things, at least there is plenty of other stuff during the wait (I don't see a patch coming 'soon' , because nothing was said about it until now).
  23. If Berlin gets hit with a dirty bomb (part of the back story iirc) I think certain fine prints are either rather unbureaucratically fast changed, interpreted in flexible fashion or just plainly disregarded. Also, tax payers wouldn't mind the bill that much I'd say. Anyway, still it would be most logical to send a professional force to do the 'wet work' compared to the greenhorns. It's not like they are defending german territory by all means.
