  1. I have nothing against Aliens and Futuristic settings, however I would settle for the Spanish Civil War or France 1940.
  2. There are ways to use the system creatively as it is. However, having a force adjustment option for both attacker and defender is much more convenient. It would be particularly desirable for those who like to play very small battles against the A.I.

  5. Thanks for your reply. The machine gun finally deployed. It took about 4 tuns. I will keep an eye on this and post again if I encounter the problem.
  6. I originally was going to vote for the old setting but I realized that I am already playing and enjoying CMSF as it is. I thought it better to have an up to date setting and have a broader palette of games to play.
  7. You are very difficult to satisfy. Perhaps you are a "glass half empty type of person". I can enjoy some games despite their imperfections. If I waited to play a perfectly constructed game........well you know. In my experience CM is the best tactical wargame available. Although I have enjoyed APOS, and the Close combat games, they are not on the same level as CM.

  10. It would be nice to use maps between modules and games.
  11. Battlefront staying in business is probably the most important thing if you think about the module approach. I like their games and I want new titles. If they were to sell every theatre as a complete game there would not be much in it for them. Perhaps not enough to continue. CMBB is a great game. So is CMRT.
  12. I like small or tiny QB's with computer picked forces. However even with tiny maps and tiny battles there are still way too many units for it to qualify as a tiny or small battle. The force adjustment selection only works for the attacker. I was thinking that it would be helpful for the defending sides forces to be also be adjustable. With both force selections adjustable truly small or tiny actions would be possible.
  13. Is anyone else finding machine guns take a lot of time to set up in buildings? In my current PBEM, I moved 3 medium MGs into position. 2 in woods and 1 other into a building 2 turns earlier. The ones in the woods set up within 2 turns. The one in the building still is not set up after 4 turns.
  14. I lost as Russians with a Tactical Defeat. I have not lost against the A.I. in quite a while. A nice scenario with lots of twists and turns.
  15. Good points Bahger. Junior to Intermediate players will do well to heed your advice.
  16. Lack of Funds. That is partially the reason the first CMMODS warehouse closed down. I wonder if Green as Jade could let us know what he needs monthly to keep everything going and add CMBS and perhaps revive CMSF and CMA. It would be interesting to know what his costs are.
  17. I am playing the second scenario called "Going to Town". A full load on the BTR 82 is 8 men. It seems you must have at least 7 men loaded before the vehicle can open up. I have tried with 3, 4, and 6, but the open up command is only available with 7 or 8 men. Is this correct?
