  1. Thanks the the Mods. They look very good.
  2. As far as I have seen the BMP-2's and BTR-82's have no Russian markings so they may be used as Separatist vehicles. There are probably more Russian vehicles without markings.
  3. One of the most immersive scenarios I have played. Quite compelling.
  4. As I remember CMSF was described as being suitable for Company size and less scenarios. In CMX1 games you could save QB's as scenarios. I use to do that for a quick start that I could then load into the editor to finish. I made them mostly for myself and it was a lot of fun. I wish that could be done now.
  5. My PBEM request has been filled.
  6. I just played a tiny QB and then the first small patrol type battle scenario. Very enjoyable and challenging. The graphics seem crisper and the U.I. artwork more thoughtfully done. For example the gray colour for the weapon sils looks very nice. Anyone for a PBEM with one of the smaller scenarios? PM me.
  7. Thank you for your reply Bil. I appreciate it.
  8. Here are links you will find interesting. http://community.battlefront.com/topic/98863-robos-campaign-generator-download-links/ http://community.battlefront.com/topic/43769-biltongs-campaign-rules/
  9. Hi All, ( Sorry about the second post but I forgot to put the full title on the first One) My hard drive crashed and so I have had to reinstall all my CM games. So far so good..........except I could not install part 2 of Bil Hardenberger's Gridded terrain for CMSF. I have a message that says the file is corrupted. I have downloaded it again but I still receive the same message. Also I do not see it anywhere else except from the repository. Can anyone help me with this? I would much appreciate it. Regards, John

  11. I experienced a Hard Drive failiure and had to reinstall all my CM games. I used the new 3.00 master installer system to reinstall CMBN and all of the modules.........what a thoughtful way to organize installing. It worked like a charm and without a problem. A really good system. Thanks Battlefront.
  12. Although the 3.0 feature list does not mention tank riders or flamethrowers, a clear statement that there would be no tank riders or flamethrowers for CMBN or CMFI in 3.0 would have provided clarity. Since those items were a very popular part of the 3.0 CMRT engine, people can't be blamed for thinking they would have been included in a 3.0 engine upgrade. This is a failure of customers not reading the 3.0 upgrade notes carefully, and a communication/PR problem for Battlefront in not being clear that these popular and anticipated features were not included.
  13. Patience is very much important. When I first started playing I wanted to do everything quickly and at once. The result was my suffering many crushing defeats.
  14. I often used the Human Wave in CMBB just to hear the masses shout Urahh, Urahh, Urahh!!!
  15. As Paper Tiger has said, adequate suppression before assaulting an area or building is required unless you want a lot of casualties. Patience is also required. Take your time and recon the area. Use stand off weapons to soften up the enemy. Then suppress and assault.
  16. CMSF is becoming my favourite. I like playing the Germans so I was happy with the final patch that fixed the panzer faust problem. All the titles are good but CMSF just seems more enjoyable.
  17. Hi Elvis, Yipes!! Thanks for the remarkably quick response. John
  18. I have searched the Forums but so far I cannot find any information as to how one would make a gift of a CM game to someone.
  19. When Battlefront started as Big Time Software they decided "Oh let's design wargames for a living and wait...... let's make them 3d". I wonder what their friends and family thought of that business plan? It could only be the plan of people who really like war gaming. In short, Nuts........like us. Surviving and being successful in the gaming business, let alone a niche market like high fidelity tactical warfare, is quite an achievement. 14 years on and still making the best tactical wargames available. Obviously they know what hard core fussy wargamers want and what business model works well for them.
  20. Aside from them both being set in WW2 I see no similarities or basis for comparision. Canned sandwich meat (COH) is meat and so is a good steak(CM).
  21. I have 4 on the go, SF, BN, RT, FI and 4 other PBEM's with other games.
  22. I am sure your fright will become our delight........
  23. I too favour small scenarios and campaigns. With game time being scarce for me, the only way I might have the opportunity to play a scenario through at one time is with small scenarios.
  24. Thanks for showing us the video. I am looking forward Black Sea.
