  1. Hidden code for a planned future release: Perhaps?
  2. These two possibilities are not mutually exclusive.
  3. 'Combat Mission: Brushfire Wars' perhaps? Superb idea and one I'd support wholeheartedly.....This is exactly the sort of engagement that I would like to model with CM. Please don't stop at the end of the eighties though, many of these minor wars have continued into the current era in one form or another, so I could imagine plenty of potential modules for this concept (one per two decades perhaps, starting in the 60s).
  4. 'Ding Hao!'. I don't know if it's the same with Yanks & Mustangs, but it seems most British men feel the need to model a Spitfire at some point in their lives.....Some go just a little further than others: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234999371-118-spitfire-mk-xive-race-80/ PS - The height adjustor on that seat works!
  5. Kornet does not fly in a straight line, it has a spiral-trajectory.
  6. I'd sign up for that particular syllabus too TBH fella.
  7. Well they clearly weren't in the top half of the not entirely huge field of entrants.....Looks like they took their disappointment out on someone's car to me.
  8. You'd think the punch of the US .50cals would serve to suppress infantry in buildings much better than the fast-firing but inaccurate MG-42s.....It really is a monster weapon by comparison.
  9. Looks like they are still hoping to buy the Oplots, but confidence in prompt delivery is apparently not very high.
  10. Great job on the LCs.....Very creative indeed.
  11. Only just noticed Kornet's 152mm calibre.....Was it originally designed for the long planned (allegedly mounted on the T-95) 152mm tank gun (2A83) I wonder? http://www.military-today.com/tanks/t95.htm
  12. Same in real-time, quite often by the time I noticed the lads had got into a scuffle, they had finished it, just leaving me with a pile of bodies to look at, occasionally including one of ours.....That one RPG was the real calamity though.
  13. I'd imagine foreign currency reserves are pretty low right now.
  14. Thought as much TBH. Great AAR, I'm going to have to try doing one in WEGO.
  15. Not finding any information on a top-attack variant of Kornet in my usual sites. FWIW
  16. Discovery Channel's 'Ancient Aliens' IIRC.....Bollocks of the first order, if I may be so British about it.
  17. Just because the US & PRC don't want a fight in North Korea doesn't mean it couldn't happen, in that much OP's 1914 analogy has some validity IMHO, I still consider this to be the most likely (potentially CM:Title-worthy) 'flashpoint'. FWIW
  18. My original comment in relationship to this idea was based on the idea of asymmetrical warfare scenarios where the recovery team are unaware that they will be involved in a fire-fight until it starts. No Tiger I or Tiger II chassis were converted to ARVs as far as I'm aware.....A pair of Tiger(P) chassis were so converted (don't recall off-hand if they became Ferdinands first) and assigned to sJgPzAbt 653 along with a single Tiger(P) command tank. Recovering Tigers would possibly be the prime example of recovery under fire during WWII.....They were precious!
  19. I'd presume that you take time to properly supress enemy positions before marching up in your HTs though, perhaps the complainant is not doing so?
  20. Hmmmm.....Even the 'Small Stand-Alone Taster' is up to 320m x 320m now, I've made quite a bit of work for myself, but the scenario should play a lot better with the additional space to manoeuvre.
