  1. I'll second that recommendation, great scenario.
  2. You don't HAVE to use the whole battalion in a battle. This thread doesn't actually seem to be going anywhere at all, some people just don't like Strykers much.....So what?
  3. For something a bit different, you might enjoy LLF's 'Baba-Amr Syria 2012 Red vs Red'.....Asymmetrical warfare at it's finest.
  4. If a CM:Fulda Gap were to materialize we'd be a long way towards having all the units needed, modders could do the rest.
  5. This is one of those rare instances where I find myself to be fully in agreement with 'bad-hair dude':
  6. Presumably putting the vehicles in question into 'Active' mode might make them more responsive, or more likely to try to shoot back at least? I'm still trying to get to grips with the actual behaviour of vehicles under the influence of the various AI modes.
  7. The L1's still held in high regard, a 'proper' rifle.
  8. I believe CM:A already has it, it certainly has the G3 with a scope. Just checked.....G3, FN-FAL and also the Bren-Gun are all in CM:A (as is the Lee-Enfield). How much modding do you want to do?
  9. Same boat here, mostly been playing the older CM:A & CM:SF, but I haven't yet seen anything that makes me wonder (unlike the T-90's apparent inability to spot tanks that are shooting at their comrades).
  10. I forgot about the guns TBH. So that's it then, new game engine needed.....CM:SF II & multiple modules here we come.
  11. Another way to do it for Strykers would be to disable reloading unless the player selects 'Open-Up' at which point it takes place automatically, but this might be trickier to implement for AI units.
  12. Sounds like a CM:SF II engine is needed if you ask me.
  13. A modernised 'Wild-Geese' wouldn't be completely beyond the realms of possibility using CM:SF.....Couldn't you make a uniform mod using CM:BN Paras or similar?
  14. A simple fix for future iterations might be for the crew to automatically reload the Stryker's weapon any time more than half of the current rounds have been expended, but only when the vehicle is not currently firing and the vehicle has not taken incoming fire for one full minute. Just a thought.
  15. The disruption has spread to my reality too now.
  16. Sounds like most of the bits are already in place, just need someone to string 'em together.
  17. Modern paragliders amaze me, in the video I posted the pilot completely luffs the wing at 3:10 (due to upside-down-ness), but it snaps back open almost immediately.....Watched a video of one of Ozone's pilots testing a new beginners' foil, he was deliberately collapsing one half of the wing and then just letting go of the controls, it didn't so much as bat an eyelid.
  18. We do have CM:A & CM:SF which can be used to simulate quite a few of these operations, but a new bang up to date title would be great.
  19. Yup one of the other means of acquiring citizenship was money.....That type of political system already has a name, 'Fascism'. IIRC it was pointed out in the CM:BS screenshot thread that Ukrainian and Russian personnel are sometimes given feminine surnames already.
  20. For some reason flying models have never appealed to me (my dad liked them though).....I guess part of it is that they're never truly to scale and the flying experience via RC is somewhat remote for my liking, I used to like flight-sims, but now I prefer whopping great kites and what I'd really, really like to try is this: Guess I better get some practice first though!
