Please can we get back to Ramadi guys.....I'm in serious danger of typing something that will get me banned and LLF's thread locked. -

I figure if you are going to go for that technique you need to read some Irvine Welsh and then go the full Glaswegian. Irvine Welsh - Trainspotting The moral of this (very enjoyable) story.....Keep your Fireflies handy. -

That reminds me of my days playing Red Orchestra.....Did you play at all, your map is quite reminiscent (but I suppose it would be really)? -

Are you sure it's armour? I'd assumed it was stowage TBH. -

Cool tale.....Not too sure about some of the 'English' pronunciation though. -
If you study the thread that LLF linked to and follow the various links there you will find all the information you need on Shermans.

Funnily enough I had a look at a few stats on this, in the UK about 1 in 3 Muslims would report a 'close family member' if they felt they were being radicalised.....That's actually a pretty good ratio when you think about it. Pushing people into corners is never going to help and wilfully misidentifying (not to mention arming to the teeth) the primary source of radicalisation is obviously utterly self-defeating, but there you are. -

Jesus Christ on a bike, Mohammed on a moped and Buddah on the bus.....What have we come to! On a brighter note: Soryama made real! -
Small comment on the Terminator in Al Masdar News: https://www.almasdarnews.com/article/never-seen-weapons-brace-syrian-battlefield-war-isis/ That vehicle definitely seems to be a T1+ hybrid, it still has the 30mm AGLs and doesn't have the beefed up upper hull of the T2:

It's total bollocks TBH.....The UK Muslim population is probably more integrated than virtually anywhere else in the western world. The big problem IMHO comes from our wonderful allies in the gulf exporting their singularly ghastly interpretation of Islam to our generally peaceful and quite well integrated Muslim community. Further harm is naturally caused by the outright lies and general hypocrisy that passes for mainstream news in the UK. PS - I've recently initiated a bit of a row with the BBC over their coverage of just this subject. -

I visited over twenty years ago and was staggered at the volume of traffic back then. The ochre smudge of pollution hanging over the LA skyline was something I'd not seen before.....We have that here now. -
There's no 'just' about making a map like this!

Possibly of interest: https://www.almasdarnews.com/article/graphic-video-100-iraqi-soldiers-killed-50-armored-vehicles-captured-isis-anbar-offensive/ Ramadi coverage appears to start at 11:00. -

I reckon they've misaligned Qatar.....Right now they are anything but Saudi-led. -
I'd be fairly confident of that.....It seems wherever there is a hard fight to be won, CTS will be in the thick of it, usually with one of the Brigades of 9th Armoured providing muscle. Little heads-up for anyone offered scenario writing advice by Combatintman.....He really knows what he's on about. Family matters (nice ones, mostly birthdays) have interfered with my scenario writing efforts recently and will continue to do so for a little while yet....But I'm still doing the odd bit here & there (one block at a time).
