  2. How do you legislate for this: http://nypost.com/2017/07/19/an-iraqi-officers-plot-to-kill-the-isis-thugs-who-murdered-his-father/ What a ghastly bloody awful mess.....Poor, poor Mosul! Poor Iraq TBH.
  3. Not much future in it then.....TBH I dislike CM:BS intensely (it attracts too many nutters), so that's actually great news.
  4. I wouldn't rule British bloody-mindedness out as a factor either.
  5. Not sure if that matters, depending on how you intend to use them.....I too will be experimenting with the 'Target' order shortly, but I'll be doing it in CB:BS (in anticipation of CM:SF II), if I discover anything interesting I'll give you a shout.
  6. Cheers! I wouldn't say completed, but it's at a stage where I believe it to be fit for play by the wider membership without fear of unexpected issues.....I'm working on the sequel ('Al Hutumah' (The Crusher)), while also messing with an expanded and more replayable version of this one to supersede the current version in due course. Give it a go if you are of a mind to.....Absolutely no obligation to provide feedback, although it would be quite nice. My only proviso would be that this isn't one to take on casually, it won't end well at all!
  7. Painting small zones works fine if you want to hit a particular area at the start of the mission, you may be able to achieve the same later in the battle by using the 'Target' AI order with on-map mortars.....I must confess I haven't tried this yet personally as I've mostly been looking at CM:SF & CM:A neither of which have on-map artillery.
  8. Not as far as I'm aware, they just try to hit the area painted as best they can.....Useful for creating an ongoing rain of shells, but on-map spotters are what you will need for more precise bombardments.
  9. What he said.....Other than those nothing British springs to mind, we even replaced .50cal MGs with .303s in aircraft.
  10. Might it be worth giving them a few debugging runs? I'd definitely like to look them over in the editor.
  11. I believe 'Trim-Vane' is the correct term, but yeah, once that starts to fold it's time to 'Abandon APC!'
  12. With much feedback taken aboard and many amendments made, 'Ashsh al-Dababir' is no longer a test, you can find the file here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/wfjnp2xy78c1e2g/Ashsh al-Dababir.btt?dl=0 A future version with improved graphics and a more sophisticated AI is a distinct possibility, but not for a while. Feedback & comments very welcome, will hopefully be posting to TPG/TSD in due course.
  13. Some of the Ukrainian stuff would be very welcome for those of us using CM to model the fighting in Iraq too.
  14. Check out the latest vehicles from the Mosul Motorshow: https://www.rt.com/news/396386-isis-combat-vehicles-display-mosul/
  15. @Battlefront.com Cheers for the candid replies Steve.....Really looking forward to seeing what you do with CM:SF II, even without any Afghan bits.
  16. I stand with our Swiss colleague on this one.
  17. Sad (but not entirely surprised) to hear this.....Could we at least get the units from that game, to widen the spectrum of available UnCons and allow us to model the Afghan War? Optionally is there any possible way to fix the trucks in CM:A? The game really is pretty bloody good apart from those things (it's still my personal favourite), if the original CM:SF trucks could be ported over it would make a massive difference to the game.
  18. For me it's all about the UnCons.....I'm really hoping some of the clever AI tweaks suggested in various threads may be taken aboard.
  19. Great post, I'd completely forgotten about those.....Which is pretty embarrassing as I've built a couple of them in 1/72!
