  1. Possibly of interest: https://smallwarsjournal.com/jrnl/art/nato-urban-delaying-strategy-baltic-states
  2. The Stalin's armour is better, but other than that I wouln't disagree massively.....I just wanted to clarify that they were not actually the same tank.
  3. No idea fella, I found it in my scenarios folder, I'm hoping to credit the creator/convertor. If you want a copy send me a PM.
  4. Should have a scenario for you to experiment with before long.....As seen earlier, but now with much better trees.
  5. Some scenes from testing of @puje's excellent campaign, 'Year Of The Rat':
  6. On a vaguely related note, would the designer of 'Malinava 2017' step forward please.....I played your converted scenario and thoroughly enjoyed it. So much so that I created some graphics and made a few other tweaks to it, but otherwise it's still exactly as you converted it, so I'd like to pass it over to you to post, or not, as you prefer:
  7. I reckon you may be being a little unfair towards 9th AD there fella.....They were asked to deploy their forces in battles that they were less than ideally suited for, like Mosul:
  8. Nope, the KV-85 is a different vehicle: It is a KV-1S hull with a wider turret ring for the new turret, note the extensions to the hull sides, below the turret ring. The IS-1 on the other hand had a newly designed hull, expressly intended for this turret: Note the hull sides blend into the turret ring. The configuration of the hull front is different too, as are many other features TBH.
  9. Combined with an 'Area Target' at short range 'Assault' can be very effective.....Just remember to give them a new target once they get to their destination. After encountering a certain unit, in a certain industrial building, I now suppress the living bejesus out of any adjacent structure before I try this trick. I'm especially careful around those that have had their connecting walls removed by the mapper.....The boundary between them can seem to act like an event horizon, much as seen with the bridge inside a buiding LOS issue, as discovered while testing 'Coup'.
  10. I wonder if that would explain the missing mortars in the first mission (I never got beyond the second, again, too depressed at my defeats)? You are given two ATGM vehicles, which are about as much use as a chocolate teapot.....I wonder if they were meant to be 120mm mortar vehicles?
  11. Scenario design is an option here.....For instance in the France 1940 scenario the designer might create setup zones or reinforcement points for the German player that would give him real opportunities to outmanoeuvre the technically superior but sluggish & poorly directed French armour.
  12. Airborne forces and some earlier T-72s would surely be a welcome addition to the game.....Not to mention Uncons.
  13. These guys are some awful soldiers.....Their soft factors are frightening! Cool looking scenario.....My lads are off on a detour through the woods to the right: Let's see if we can outflank the defences.
  14. Just tried this mod out.....Highly recommended, it makes a big diference to the appearance of winter maps. Will post screenies on next test.
  15. Interesting you say that, I just played one of the stock SF2 Dutch scenarios and had what I had assumed was awful luck with my Gil launchers.....Pretty much exactly as you describe: FWIW
  16. Is there any chance I could grab a copy from there please, @Ivan Zaitzev?
  17. Wow.....Those impact prints left the pillbox 'backing plate' from the 57mm ATG are pretty scary! PS - The 76mm Sherman used in the trials is rather interesting, it looks like a small hatch M4A1, with a 76mm gun squeezed into the original turret.
  18. In your third image, it looks like an observer in the upper floor of the buildings on the hill might be able to see over the smoke screen.....Is this so, or does the smoke block LOS at a greater elevation than depicted by the smoke-models (whatever they are called)?
  19. I'd say that qualifies as 'very heavily altered' at the least. Great work too.....Ruins are hard.
  20. @37mm Dude, I didn't even know this existed! I'd love to get a copy too.....I'm testing a winter scenario right now, 'Winter of Discontent', Blue vs. Blue set in the warlord period post Soviet withdrawal: Those trees surely do spoil the view!
