  1. That's been disputed on a particular gun forum that I frequent.
  2. The ping of the clip being ejected can be heard from a fair distance in reality, so the video doesn't have things wrong.
  3. Towing vehicles is out of the time frame being simulated by these games. No army is going to risk valuable recovery assets in the middle of a firefight.
  4. Why don't you open a new topic and complain about that sort of stuff there instead of derailing this topic?
  5. I know that when I was in from 2003-2007, I didn't have to pay anything to go from BDUs to DCUs, as I received a one-time uniform stipend of a couple hundred bucks. Purchased two sets of uniforms, as I recall and pocketed the rest. And that was with me being in garrison and not scheduled to be deployed anywhere. Come to think of it, I think the only "essential" uniform item I purchased during my time on active duty was a pair of black jungle boots, but that was just so I could get out of those awful leather boots they issued me in basic.
  6. Yes, that sort of thing is planned for a future release.
  7. Unique in this case means "extremely rare / vehicles produced and/or present in very, very small numbers on the front being depicted."
  8. M26s did not see combat until late February 1945, with the 3rd Armored Division.
  9. Ehh, it's an alright article that's sloppy with the details in a couple of areas.
  10. I prefer the fate of this Iraqi sniper: https://www.funker530.com/gps-guided-rocket/
  11. You don't go much outside these forums, do you? Besides the example of Arma already being given, there's Eagle Dynamics and 1C Game Studios on the military flight simulator side of things - and both software houses are doing quite fine with expanding their user base.
  12. ...and one that will download updates to the game. The current system is terribly antiquated and, judging by the number of questions that come up here about how to update the game, is in need of a change.
  13. Wow, so one minor error in the manual means we should just toss it out the window now?
  14. I hear that pen and paper are hot commodities these days.
  15. That's for certain. I took a lot of time and effort to author the official manual for new IL-2 flight sim series (as well as Rise of Flight), and yet still I see people asking the same extremely basic questions that could be answered far more quickly by glancing through the manual. It's just one of those things that's never going to change.
  16. Do you not know how to Google that? I'm 37 - hardly a youngster.
  17. What exactly is so difficult and inconvenient about keeping your license keys in a text file on your computer or (gasp) in an online document that you can access from any internet-connected device?
  18. And what does that have to do with anything?
