  1. Standing orders and reality are two very different things.
  2. I was waiting for someone to (finally) say that.
  3. Yes, he does, and for goodness sake, @Josey Wales himself recently wrote a lengthy topic about it that was discussed here. EDIT: geez, and he even answered your question in said topic!
  4. That, or he ordered one for himself, and he's still waiting for it to be delivered.
  5. I'm just wondering why you have this vendetta against having the Oplot in the game. You have no issue with the T-90AM being in the game or with the Syrians having BMP-3s in Shock Force, because it suits your modding fantasies. But, when it comes to the Oplot it's all "remove it from the game!," "hardly ever built, all going to Thailand!, never will serve in Ukraine anyways!", and on and on. Like I've said, if you hate it that much, just ignore the fact it's even in the game. Not to mention, you seem to have wilfully ignored @Haiduk's post here. EDIT: and no, I am not under the impression that the Oplot is in active service with Ukraine - just like I am not under the impression about a number of other units in the game being in active service. BFC made an educated guess about what would be in service when Black Sea was conceptualized, and I'm perfectly fine with that.
  6. Yeah, Ukraine has had this little trouble with Russia in the meanwhile.
  7. Well, thank goodness you are in the minority with that opinion.
  8. Not seeing any issues here with engineers clearing barbed wire.
  9. There is this handy dandy thing called the manual.
  10. The UAE? Since when has CMSF modeled the forces of the UAE?

  12. It's been a while, but I think RtM was one of the stock campaigns. Concerning the uniforms - I'm not sure. I've been looking at images of glider infantry in Normandy, and it looks like the standard infantry uniform would be the correct choice. That, and the glider troops (perhaps all of them?) were part of the 82nd Airborne. 325th GIR troops in Normandy:
  13. You know, if you hate them that much, just ignore the fact they are in the game. The way you obsess about their mere existence borders on the absurd. P.S. : why don't you harp on the same way about the T-90AM or the fact that the Syrians in CMSF have BMP-3s? PPS: Thailand apparently has taken delivery of 25 Oplots. That's hardly fictional.
  14. That doesn't really answer his question. US Airborne formations have the option of wearing a 101st or 82 AB uniform. IIRC they can also choose to wear a plain, no-insignia uniform. Easy enough to open up the editor and see. (Also, been a while since I checked, but I think glider infantry also have uniform-specific options as well).
  15. There's nothing that stops you from doing that yourself with the mission editor.
  16. So, I have a new Android phone that will tell you what song is playing when it hears a source of music. Anyhow, so, the other night while I was playing the Ambush scenario, I paused the game to see the screen say I was listening to Gangnam Style. Not quite sure how it picked up on that, but I thought it was funny!
  17. The better question is, why are you getting yourself worked up over idle speculation?
  18. What exactly is confusing? No, it's the same setting as the original CMSF.
