    I follow a gamers Youtube channel called Gameranx and they have 5.7 million subscribers. They put up a top 10 most historically accurate games list and it was pretty much the usual suspects, big games and so on. As I was watching it I was cursing to myself why these channels never do wargames in a serious fashion, but guess what? Wait for it ....
    ... and yeah, 5.7 million people might get exposed to a REAL game seriesĀ šŸ˜ƒ

    I'm experiencing modular building texture issues since R2V was released. I have both modules and have installed via the master download. Here are some examples:
    Moving the camera changes the texture from solid wall to empty texture.

    Different texture from inside and outside the same building.

    Moving the camera changes the texture from solid wall so that a door appears. No way of knowing which is the "true" texture.

    Different texture from inside and outside the same building. Window textures broken and door solid from one side but not the other.

    Window textures broken but not all levels, only the occupied one (compare to above where all levels are broken).

    Comparison between outside and inside of the same building - door appears/disappears and different broken window textures.

    Anyone else seeing this? I have no building mods (are there any for FI even?).

    Got another mod ready - and as it might not be the last, I figured I might as well start a dedicated thread for my own mods.

    This one is one of my new favorite vehicles in CMFI R2V: The Morris C9B SPAA.
    A favorite to play with, that is - not to mod! It has been a real PITA to mod, because it has no large surfaces, but millions of little nooks and crannies. Luckily, modding is now over and I enjoy playing with my weathered Morris SPAA. Hope you will too.

    HereĀ“s a quick-fix mod set for the R2V Shermans.

    @DougPhresh made a request for Sherman mods for R2V the other day. I replied that I dont really have the time to make mods from scratch. Luckily, I discovered that I had an old set of ShermanĀ  Photoshop files that ArisĀ“ once sent me. This was only the files for his CMBN Sherman IC mod, so most of the mods in this set are based on these.Ā 
    I have simply taken each bmp for the hulls and turrets of every Sherman in R2V - and placed the dirt, mud and grime from ArisĀ“Ā  Sherman IC on top of them. So most of the mods have the excact same layer of dirt on top of them. Luckily, it doesn' t really loook like that, because the base bmpĀ“s are relatively different.

    In some cases, the bmpĀ“s were so different from the Sherman ICĀ“s layout that I couldnĀ“t use the method described above. In that case I have taken files from other CM games and renamed them to fit. Or done a bit of modding myself.
    In short: This is not a set of mods made from scratch - but a quick-fix that will allow you to use "ArisĀ“ed" R2V Shermans. Sherman grogs might find errors in camo schemes and such, but as far as I am concerned, they are as good as they get.

    I would also like this, especially since I served in the 1980s.Ā  The reason to ask/petition/beg BattlefrontĀ forĀ  a Soviet Forces equipment pack for the CMFB game family is that it (I think) would be easier to add an equipment pack (port over from CMRT) than to build a 1980s game from the ground up.Ā  So maybe the time & resources vs profit would make it worth while.Ā  I would think that they don't even have to make any scenarios for it.Ā  Just put the existing Western & Eastern equipment & TOE in the same game.Ā  Scenario designers could run wild with that.Ā Ā  Ā Ā

    What about adding a "REPEAT" mission to artillery fire missions and registering fires on those target which have already been called in once? The arty in this game is very nicely done, even including the linear sheaf mission - so why not the "repeat" mission? Call for fires that are serviced normally result in that target be registered as well, so why not automatically insert a TRP onto every site in which artillery is called - like in the real thing? Maybe some nations were not up to doing this in the Second World War, but U.S. and British artillery certainly were - I assume the Wehrmacht was as well. Not sure if the Soviets used that capability.

    One of the important things the West learned about the Soviets was that they would use ANY unprotected avenue of approach to penetrate NATO defenses. Now, most thought in terms of trails and such, but here's an example which illustrates precisely how clever they could be. BT-7 command tank crosses a destroyedĀ (or maybe unfinished) bridge.

    Thanks for theĀ  update Steve, looks like another great year on various virtual battlefields.
    CW forces for FB is high on my list - I have a finished map of Dinant that can be fleshed out for a what-if last stand at the Meuse with the forces who defended that area.
    Regarding BS - no NATO/EU forces on the horizon? Have you ever considered making force only modules without scenarios/campaigns included?
    The screenshots for Fire and Rubble looks awesome. Maye realese some wallpapers?

    After a looooong hiatus from CombatĀ Mission, and then hand/wrist surgery, I finally got back to this and finished the dpm woodland camo. I will upload them as soon as I get the readme and whole package together and squared away with Bootie/CMMODS. Tomorrow maybe. Mtp camo will follow but not sure how soon.Ā 
    First two pics are with shaders/shadows on. The other two are with them off (well, shaders might be on in the last one, not sure).

    Very strange. Anyone else not seeing these? Are they official @BFCElvisĀ ?
    @Sgt.SquareheadĀ I will PM you a link and I can post it later on in this thread if the maps are indeed made for the public.
    Must say I'm a bit sad not getting to do this, guess I have to find some other hilly terrain in Italy to make a map of. Lucky me that there is plenty of that.
