  1. I'm getting fed up with trees being able to suck up so much damage from HE without even shedding a leaf. A couple of HE from a tank makes a nice big hole in a 6ft stone brick wall, but trees....noooo.... Had instances where AT-guns have had clear line of sight apart from a single tree, and continue to put HE after HE (and even HEAT) into the tree with no effect. Not only that, but the crew fails to alter their aim just a wee bit to shoot on the side of the tree instead. They fail to hold fire but plug away at the tree instead. Please, for me this is one of (luckily) few immersion breakers in the CM-series. Is there anything to be done?
  2. I like the B&W style. Perhaps a starker contrast can give the feel of the blazing sun and heat.
  3. Cool, a new one. Looking forward to it. They keep getting better with each iteration. So Kohl, this will be a "war is like a box of chocolates.." thing?
  4. Got it as well, but haven't started to read. No maps? Dislike military history books with no or few maps. Makes it so much harder to follow the proceedings and understand the tacitcal and stretegic situation.
  5. Good. Thanks for doing it. Nasty bugs for not being easily eradicated. But we are on to them. Death to bugs
  6. @IanL: IIRC I reported this bug to you some six months ago, along with a save file. Did you pass it on to BFC? Did they have a look at it? I had hopes that the 3.12 patch would squash it but from the patch notes it seems not so. I have not yet updated, but encountered the bug again just a few weeks ago in the German MG-campaign.
  7. Is there a patch included? In that case, what does it do?
  8. It is a hefty once time price, but with the potential of hundreds or even thousands of hours of gameplay, it is really a bargain. Also a title for which there is plenty of community made scenarios, campaigns and mods to make it look its absolute best. If you're into this kind of game, I'm sure you won't regret a purchase.
  9. "The Lions of Carpiquet" campaign also uses the Vehicle Pack.
  10. Regarding the design, I find that the Choisy objective is a bit too large which makes it very hard to claim. The good thing is that the battles are very close and it is hard to outwit the opponent. But that might result in not many objectives being claimed.
  11. Thanks. It was caused by a couple of old road tiles in a Terrain Pack. Now it looks great.
  12. Funky When they get shot at, does the destroyed building still protect them as if it is still there?
  13. I'm a bit late to the Winter Mod Party, but am glad to have arrived now. Kudos to all the hard work put into this project. Tip of the hat to all involved. Started Sacrifice in the Snow and am seeing some weird looking roads. I have only winter mods in "z" and my opponent has the same. Is this a known issue?
  14. Any hints on what is included in engine 3.12 and the BN patch?
  15. Those houses wasn't destroyed by the initial barrage, so I can't check out the bug.
  16. How do you mean "update"? Where did you see it? Can't find any news
  17. I have just started that scenario and will look out for the bug. About how long into the battle did it occur? It is over by the hangars, right?
  18. I think the free version of FRAPS only allows 30 sec of video. And the files are HUGE.
  19. Ouch! Pic on the right might just be the definition of "in a world of pain".
  20. LOL, he is hovering over "Jump Off Point" in the background
  21. It's not everyday you bring down parts of a cathedral Can you recommend any sources/books so I can read more about the campaign?
  22. Started the campaign today. The start of the second mission is now probably one of my all time favourite CM-moments. Now I truly understand why soldiers suffered from "shell shock". Spectacular and frightening at the same time.
  23. Beware, Baneman might plan an artillery stonk on Lori's Mound Thanks for the entertainment. You and Bud_B should team up on one of his comics. It would be awesome.
  24. Which was a parody of a great series about the French resistance. Can't remember the name of it. Probably the first one I remember watching as a kid.
