Wicky reacted to MadBot in Shock Force 2 Beta Showcase Video
You would think that after all this time and all these years have passed people would have learnt to spell his (my) name correctly. It is Madmatt, NOT MadMatt.
This message from MadBot brought to you because I forgot my old Madmatt account password.....
- He who once was known as Madmatt

Wicky reacted to MarkEzra in Unfortunate Road Design
@Agusto: That map is my creation. There was absolutely no reference to swastikas implied. In fact it is actually a push to infer it IS a swastika. But that is my own opinion. Do know that I am personally offended by your post.

Wicky reacted to A Canadian Cat in Is there a trick to go from "Deploy Weapon" to "Hide" when assigning the end waypoint?
I reported the UI showing you that it would hide and deploy. I asked to be able to do both things but at the very lease that the UI be made to reflect what will happen.

I came across this collection of colour photos from WW2 in another forum and thought some here would find them interesting.

Wicky reacted to General Jack Ripper in Broken tacAI
Actually it is.
You are not very familiar with how the 'Hunt' command works.
The team spotted enemy troops, which causes the string of orders attached to the Hunt command to self-cancel.
Which means the team won't hide or face, so they open fire instead.
Hunt is used as a "move until you see something" command. It's not a "move slowly this way then hide" command. Attaching other commands to a "Hunt" order only works properly if they don't see anything.

Wicky reacted to RockinHarry in Tanks too reluctant to fire HE at spotted troops in buildings?
Yes I think it´s due to the tank gunner/commander beeing able to continually keeping the target in sight in the open. Once infantry in buildings dive down to prone, the gunner looses sight instantly and quits firing. Looks like the AI finds using HE for targets in the open more effective and I think it is. Most the time you get couple of kills immediately as opposed to inaccurate sprays of MG fire, yielding mostly suppression and fewer kills. Amount of onboard HE ammo also makes the AI reluctant to use it when rather scarce. In real life, most HE was used to get infantry going and then to be cut down with MG fire. Probably all of this is taken into consideration for the TacAI decisions to some point. My own tactics is mostly area firing HE on a building which I know contains enemy infantry and keeping friendlies at the safety distance same time.

Don't worry, the German vehicles trying to cross the bridge in September '44 had the same problems.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recycling_rates_by_country
We are in effect sh*tting on our own doorstep and the amount of plastic waste polluting our water is staggering.
https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2017/sep/06/plastic-fibres-found-tap-water-around-world-study-reveals
But hey ho it is all down to a liberal conspiracy to stop big business making profits and declining living standards, the recent change in leadership in America has not helped...
🙄
As for less collections that is down to reduced tax return due to the world economic crisis that is still hitting the UK public spending purse as tax has not increased and so councils under pressure to make savings while still trying to keep recycling rates up.
Target is to hit 50% by 2020 at 43% we are close but still put a third of our waste in the ground, compared to America 54%...
Back on topic I checked my credit cards, not been compromised, but then I did not buy anything off Battlefront recently... (Not that it is relevant...)

It's called recycling and saving the planet, something that America (and other countries) might want to adopt...
Nothing to do with declining living standards!!!

Wicky reacted to MikeyD in Research Request - Sherman Variants Used by Division
Its rare that you find pictures like this. The famous pict of 752nd Tank Battalion in Plaza Emanuel, Bologna with M18 Hellcats from 701st Tank Destroyer Battalion, May 1945 I think.
You can pick out individual vehicle types. Mostly 76mm M4A3 (76mm), early narrow mantlet M4A1 (75mm) sprinkled in. I also spot a single M4A3(?) 105mm howitzer tank. Plus one flail tank at the back (borrowed from the Brits?), two M3-based recovery vehicles and one M4-based recovery vehicle (I forget their names).
