The least thing people can do is apologise for their behaviour. I feel shame on me when fellow CM players react like this. I wish the best over there since I have experienced a few wars during my missions and know even in wartimes people like to relax once I a while with something they enjoy and let them forget their current situation.

Hello Pawter, I think its ok to tell you like to see some other futures to make it feel more realistic. JonS shows the link to the Franko system what will give you a least the feeling you want. But I also have the idea you don’t get the challenge in this game cause you win a lot. No real difference here. I tested both to see if there was a difference. On my older machine (dual core) I tested at what fps it was still reasonable playable. I pushed it with all settings at max at 1920-1200 and got 7 fps but it still was able to play the game well. For a 1st person shooter you need at least 20 fps to keep up in a multi-player game but for CMBN lower fps is not a show stopper. Still you can improve the fps very well by bringing the settings to balance. So if you have a dual core I wouldn’t worry too much.

+1 Agree on sucking blood out of main forum. In the old days I was inspired by mod makers and scenario designers in the main forum. This made me start to mods and design scenarios. I almost never looked into CMSF sub folders cause I didn’t followed it very much and when I peaked in it I got lost in the posts. I still manage to check all post in the main forum atm and I agree to Krilly this forum will be civilized a few weeks after its release. And I dont want the Peng Challange boredom the main topic of this forum

Yes they are fixed to a map. But with the amount QB maps comming with the game you will not get bored And you can always edit the QB maps with new setup zones and plans and post them Futher I expect a lot of extra content to be made by the communty.

You are right irt Caen area. The German main effort was in that area and thats why there were many SS units there. Waffen SS were always planned to release with the Commonwealth module and so we have still something to look forward too

There are a lot of books but not many books what you ask for from operational level to coy level and detailed maps. Battle for Normandy was one day fight on the beach and three months fight on the rest of the peninsula. Would be nice to have a beach but it is not a show stopper imo.

Well I have to agree it was not the Tankers fault at hill 112. After they reached the top of hill 112 they couldn’t hold the hill against the just arived 102 zw pz abt with their Tigers. The only thing that could be discussed about is why they didn’t consolidate in Eterville and Maltot instead on the hill 112 top. But to do that they would have needed more infantry.
