I hope this performance improvement mean that all games will be able to have maps larger than 18 square kilometers being made in the editor and played on as scenarios.
Larger maps for scenarios would be better for the modern day games but would also be great for the WW2 ones.
I know that a lot of people don't like scenarios larger than platoon size but there are also those, I included, that would like to be able to play scenarios that are able to have a whole regiment on the map from the start without performance issues. Unfortunately the map size requirements don't allow for that to happen at the moment.

I wonder how many times people have mentioned that about a release of a new CM-game or a new module? I think the release might be some time after June.

Isn't the best CMx1 (and CMx2) course to just play the games and to watch a few youtube videos and sometimes to ask questions in the thread for the game one is playing? And doing that is something you get for free, except for the cost of the game.
So a non-free course seems unnecessary.

Chuckie is most likely splitting the squad into teams before he gives them the order to enter the vehicle. I suspect that there is another type of team entering in between so the squad stays separated.

Go to Gumtree, or similar, and look for a gaming laptop or a gaming pc there and haggle heavily on the price. It's sometimes surprisingly easy to find sellers that are willing to accept what one wants to pay, or quite close to it.
Wouldn't it be more challenging and fun if you yourself did the teaching while trying to sound like a woman?

I might be late with this picture, but I think that Putin will be very proud of receiving this price if Finland and Sweden (and maybe even Ukraine) become members of NATO. The question is where should he put it, in his office or in the main entrance?

They are just following the stupid political correctness trend that have seen statues being toppled over in other European countries, and also in USA if I'm correct. The Russians are showing that they are exactly like the rest of that rabble and hope to be taken seriously by doing this.

The exact same procedure that some criminals use in their racketeering to be employed as the "security" for pubs in UK, and other countries, so they can use those pubs as the base for their drug dealing.

The Soviets did get a lot of help from the USA and Britain so they could have an easier fight against the Germans. So why not share the celebrity with the US veterans?
And I don't know which of the Allies that killed most German civilians, but I think it was the US and British bomber squads. They did what actually were a war crime although they got away with it.
So maybe the Russians find that to be enough reason to have a US soldier on the banner now when they themselves are doing the same in Ukraine.

The game does seem to be lacking in this. Foxholes and trenches seem to provide a minimum of protection and are far too easily spotted, presumably because, unlike their RL counterparts, they stick up above the ground, instead of into it.

In the post above Steven says that the Combat Mission games are hyper realistic simulators. With those words Steven is most likely talking about a simulator in terms of how bombs, howitzer and cannon shells, AT-gun shells and AT-rockets and small arms bullets and more behave and penetrate different surfaces.
It would be great if the games weren't only great battle simulators when it comes to weapons and surface penetration but also a great simulator in other ways.
The simulation could for example be better in how soldiers behave in battle, with that I mean not only the soft factors, when they follow orders although they're almost dirtying the insides of their trousers.
Although a CM-game fanatic with high hopes of success may behave more recklessly when he fights it seems that the more experienced and more motivated troops often cower and wheep a bit too much and for too long. It would be great if the troops that aren't conscripts could allow their sense of duty to override their whish to run to their mothers boobs a bit more often.
I would also prefer to have trenches which aren't so shallow that the troops have to crouch down to be protected and where troops become exposed when they are walking or running in them. A "hyper realistic" battle simulator should preferably have somewhat hyper realistic trenches.
It would also be great if the game editor could allow the scenario map makers to make better and greater environment simulators for the troops and vehicles to move around and fight in. I understand that some people who use the editor are more interested in making scenario maps than making a full scenario with AI-movements and adding troops.
If the scenario maps could be looking a bit more beautiful and be more of a simulator of how forests, villages, towns and so on really look it would probably be more fun for some people to make scenario maps while other people could have fun while they focus on the troops and battle-AI.

When I take a look at towns and cities in my copy of Final Blitzkrieg I often feel that they seem unfinished. There are quite a few things that could be added to the scenario editor which would help to make cities, towns and villages look better. One small thing that I think could make a great change would be to add pedestrian walks to the editor. It is possible to use for example cobbled stone tiles for the streets and other tiles to serve as pedestrian walks. But that method still doesn't make the streets look the part.

That is straight talk and no soft tunes from the central scrutinizer of this forum.
I just about came back from sitting in the penalty box for five days.
I can't promise that I'll adhere to those words though. It will probably depend on the situation. And if I'm sent off to the penalty box for five days, I'll have to use that time of rest to consider my sins.
