  1. I apologize for the scenario "Tactical Operations Center" not being completed yet. I was hoping to have it completed at the end of May, as you quoted above. Beta 8 was released to testers a few days ago and should (I hope) be the last Beta. I'm happy to see you are following developments since this was your first post on this thread I didn't know you were interested. PM sent.
  2. Cool. I just read some books on the Congo and 5 Commando. I'll have to watch this. Thanks for posting it. +1
  3. This. Also tank riders can use a tank's radio for C2. Below is a thread with screenshots and discussions of C2 stuff.
  4. Beta 8 is in the Dropbox. This is probably the last one. Maybe a few minor tweaks and then the final version for release, I hope.
  5. Oh, good. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that does that from time to time . The part in bold is great advice that I try to follow.
  6. The below thread has several links in various posts. I didn't follow them all but one of the links may be what you're looking for. Good luck .
  7. +1 Cool article. I made many jumps at Fort Bragg on Sicily Drop Zone in the 1980s. Instead of C17s we had C-141s & C-130s. Many of the jumps were at night followed by some tactical problem. I bet those paratroopers enjoyed making a daylight jump for a friendly audience.
  8. +1 Cool idea. I would just modify it and scale it back some so there would be less work for BFC. To have the allies and axis all combined in a final module for CMFB would be awesome. Call the module meeting on the Elbe or something. I think BFC is resistant to making fictional scenarios based in the past (they just create near future fictional scenarios). This is fine IMO. Just please port the CMRT TOE into the last module for CMFB and charge a profitable price for it. BFC would not have to do anything else (unless they wanted to, which I suspect they don't). Let the moders and players make their own scenarios with the editor. This would be very cool. All the third world brush war scenarios and cold war scenarios that this would allow the players and moders to create. Patton goes east, Fulda Gap 1950, Korea, Suez crisis etc...................
  9. It's @Vein base markers mod. I use it in all my CM games. Very cool IMO.
  10. I just googled the game to read about it. I noticed that it was selling on e-bay between $76 and $195. Of course I don't know how much it cost in the 1970s but sounds like it might be worth some $ now....... .
  11. George MC, all your campaigns and scenarios are excellent. I don't think USMC Forging Steel was part of the BFC original USMC release but was made independently later on. Do you have plans to upgrade it with some of the new features that come with Engine 4.0 / Shock Force 2? Well ............... now that I think of it, just playing it in Shockforce 2 would be an upgrade because all the 4.0 ability (at least in theory) would then be present. Triggers etc could be added but I don't know if that would be necessary.............. Below is a link to the campaign. http://www.thefewgoodmen.com/tsd3/cm-shock-force-2/cm-shock-force-campaigns/usmc_forging-steel/
  12. @grunt_GI and @Andy_101 thanks for showing an interest. Just polishing up some things in the late part of the scenario. Also trying to mod tag some mods. RL got busy for myself and my PDF adviser/tester. I'm hoping by the end of this month to have it out the door. Below is a link to a few screenshots. http://community.battlefront.com/topic/117778-unofficial-screenshots-videos-thread/?do=findComment&comment=1741829
  13. In the Top right of this screen you will see your handle - John Kettler Click on your handle and a drop down menu will appear. Click on Account Settings from the drop down. On the left of the screen several choices will be displayed. One of the choices is "Password"
  14. Very cool ................ or I should say, very cold . +1
  15. More interesting stuff @General Jack Ripper and @BletchleyGeek. Wire, IMO, is a surprisingly effective obstacle. Especially when covered by fire, as obstacles should be. Even more so when TRPs are used. There is always the dilemma of having engineers close enough to be used in a timely manner but not so close they are chewed up in the forward edge. Good AAR.
  16. This is good information. I had no idea about this. Everyday is a learning day with this game/simulation. Thanks for sharing this. +1
  17. IMO this is a good explanation of what probably happened. +1
